About this file
This is an invitation letter from the Knoxville Utilities Board (KUB) seeking qualified firms to execute a multi-year agreement for Emergency Electrical Distribution Damage Assessment and Wire Guarding Services, with Control Number 2686. The contract will run through October 1, 2026, and is structured as a non-exclusive agreement for emergency response services. KUB is seeking contractors to provide damage assessment, circuit patrolling, site safety, and support during storm events or unplanned electric system outages, with services to be provided on an as-needed and will-call basis.
The agreement allows for annual pricing updates and is designed to provide predetermined pricing and communication channels to facilitate rapid emergency response. Importantly, the contract will not cover regular daily system maintenance or capital construction work. Interested firms can contact Abbey Marshall at Abbey.Marshall@kub.org to review the agreement and corresponding contract documents. The goal is to supplement KUB's internal damage assessment teams and site safety attendants with external resources when additional support is required during electric system emergencies.
