About this file

This document is an Inquiries and Responses record for Contract No. OOMMO28SBR, a mowing and landscaping services contract for the State Highway Administration's Hanover, Maryland Complex. The contract spans two years with approximately 16 mowing cycles per season (32 total cycles over the contract term). The scope of work includes mowing services around the pole yard perimeter, herbicide application within the pole yard, and weed control and pruning activities. Inquiries were submitted between March 26 and April 1, 2026, with responses posted on March 30 and April 1, 2026.

The bid price form includes a fixed $2,000 line item for materials that cannot be altered and represents a not-to-exceed allowance for contractor-purchased materials, as clarified in the Contractor Responsibilities and Tasks section on page 5 of the solicitation. The bid form assigns fixed hours for weed control and pruning activities. The agency reserves the right to approve and provide additional compensation on a case-by-case basis if the actual number of mowing cycles exceeds 32 or if weed control and pruning hours exceed the specified amount due to changed circumstances or increased workload. Contractors are not responsible for mowing within the pole yard itself, only the surrounding areas, though herbicide application within the pole yard is required.
