PROJECT 1B2C QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
SOLICITATION IFBP01171500001
Quality Mechanical Contracting, LLC:
1. Regarding Section 230593 TESTING, ADJUSTING, AND BALANCING FOR HVAC, is a certified TAB report/survey required for this job?
CLARIFICATION: Yes certification is required. Refer to Section 230593, 1.4 B,
1.5 B and 3.11 A.
2. If a TAB is required is it required before cleaning or after cleaning or both?
CLARIFICATION: The documents do not specify TAB before cleaning. TAB is required after cleaning and after ductwork has been replaced. Refer to Section 230593 and Note 8 under “Mechanical New Work Notes” on sheets M-101, 112, 114, 122, 124, 132 and 134. During the cleaning process, it is expected that every manual balance damper in each system will be opened, so each system will require complete test and balance.
3. Regarding Section 230548 VIBRATION AND SEISMIC CONTROLS FOR HVAC, does this pertain to only new hangers and anchors that we install?
CLARIFICATION: Section 230548 only applies to new work.
