Question and Answer Amendment A003

Solicitation Number IBM15-22 Structure Assessments within the

Lower Rio Grande Flood Control Project

Q) Could you please give us a rough estimation as to how large the volume of the mud in 15 structure/locations that the contractor must remove in order to inspect the structure, since it will incur large labor cost/and machine time.

A) The depth of the mud is between 6" and 2'. The easiest way to remove it is with a vacuum system. The purpose of the removal is so that the gate closure can be tested and properly assessed.

Q) In order to bid on the cost, could you please explain how to go about it? Should we bid on the cost of each location inspection and final report, that is including travel time and labor (overhead and burden etc.) for all 485 structures?

A) The format for the proposal is outlined in the synopsis under CLIN Structure. The proposal may be submitted on the Company’s letterhead.

Q) The total cost for CLIN 001 should include the cost per structure, final report, travel time and labor (overhead and burden etc.) for all 485 structures. CLIN 001 should be the total cost for the whole project.
