7.0 DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK:
7.1.1 The first objective of this project is to install a new fully functional network based intrusion detection system (IDS) to detect unauthorized entrance into the office space and report such unauthorized entrance to the Denver Mega Center. The IDS will allow entry on valid card reads and proper code entry on designated keypad. The IDS will be activated by designated personnel and setup for time zone operation as needed.
7.1.2 The second objective of this project is to provide the office with a fully functional video surveillance system (VSS). This system shall provide usable video for evidentiary purposes. The Contractor shall configure to the VSS to provide usable footage that capture a minimum of 80 pixels per square foot at 25 feet. The Contractor shall provide a system that is low light capable with a minimum Lux of 0.05 Lux.
7.2 Intrusion Detection System (IDS)
7.2.1 The IDS shall comply with the Denver Mega Center’s (DMC) Megacenter IDS Requirements (MAR) package for IDS panel types. The DMC will only accept UL commercially listed panels from Honeywell (Ademco), Bosch (Radionics), or DMP. Proprietary panels will NOT be accepted.
7.2.2 For all systems that are connected to the DMC all procedures and standards set forth by the DMC shall be strictly adhered to for proper acceptance. The Megacenter IDS Requirements (MAR) document contains specific information regarding accepted devices and standards set forth by the DMC. The MAR document will be issued to the awarded Contractor along with the Notice to Proceed.
7.2.3 Before the system installation is complete, the installer must complete the aforementioned MAR document and submit it to the FPS TPOC to establish monitoring services. Make sure to complete every item on the attached application to ensure proper setup of the IDS account. Failure to complete all sections will cause delays in setup. The contractor may contact the DMC Programming Department if additional assistance is needed in completing the application. The MAR package shall be received by the DMC no less than 24 hours prior to the contractor attempting to place the IDS online and active with the DMC. The DMC will program the account.
7.3 Door Contacts (Reference Section 9.2 for Equipment Specifications)
7.3.1 All door contacts shall be mounted so that they will activate before the door is opened more than one (1) inch. Door contacts shall be recessed and shallow mounted based on door header depth.
All door contacts shall have no exposed wiring.
7.3.2 The door contacts shall be installed so that they do not interfere with the doors closure if it needs to be serviced. End of line resistor (EOLR) shall be installed at the device and not in the panel.
HSHQWA-17-Q-00006
