SAMPLE TASK I CLIN 0001

STATEMENT OF WORK FOR AN UPGRADE TO SECURITY EQUIPMENT

INCLUDING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF A 42” LCD

MONITOR AND DVR

ABC Federal Building

Summary Statement of Work

The Federal Protective Service, a Bureau within the United States Department of Homeland Security, is intending to upgrade security equipment for ABC Federal Building. This proposed upgrade would include the replacement of CCTV equipment.

Statement of Work

Remove existing 40” Plasma CCTV monitor from the wall of the building and return it to FPS.

Provide and install (1) one 42” LCD TV/Monitor with mount on the wall for viewing specific cameras;

Before the CCTV system is accepted it has to be tested and found to be completely operational.

Training: Provide 4 hours of training total for 1 to 3 individuals on the new DVR server.

Additional Terms:

A. Supervision: The Contractor shall give his personal attention to the work at all times and shall either be present in person or have a duly authorized representative on the site continuously during working hours throughout the progress of the work.

B. Labor and Tools: Work that is scheduled should properly be done with skilled labor and shall not be attempted with common labor. The Contractor shall have on the job at all times ample equipment and personnel to carry on work properly, including such tools as may be necessary to meet emergency requirements.

C. Delivery: The Contractor shall determine if the delivery dates of any materials specified will cause a delay to the intended completion date. Should any delays be anticipated, the Contractor shall inform DHS/FPS and work with DHS/FPS to complete the project.

D. Definitions & Standards:

Provide: Furnish and install, complete and ready for intended use.

Install: Operations at project site, including unloading, unpacking, assembly, erecting, placing, anchoring, applying and working to dimension, finishing, curing, protection, cleaning and similar requirements.

Furnish: Supply and deliver to project site, ready for unloading, unpacking, assembly, installation and similar subsequent requirements.

Remove: Remove from site and dispose of properly.

E. Installation: Require installer of each major component to inspect substance and conditions. Comply with manufacturer’s installation instructions and recommendations. Isolate from incompatible materials. Install components at industry standard mounting heights. Refer questionable heights to DHS/FPS.

Clean as frequently as necessary during construction. At project closeout, clean surface or unit to the condition expected in a normal commercial building cleaning and maintenance program.

F. Safety of persons and property: The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, ordinances, rules, regulations and orders of any local city and state public authority having jurisdiction. He shall also comply with the latest published occupational safety and Health Regulations for construction by the U.S.

Department of Labor.

G. Final Inspection: After all work has been completed, the contractor shall personally inspect the work and advise DHS/FPS that he is ready for the final inspection.
