STATEMENT OF EQUIVALENT RATES
FOR FEDERAL HIRES
THIS INFORMATION IS FOR INFORMATION ONLY: IT IS NOT A WAGE DETERMINATION. Set forth below are both General Scale (GS) and Wage Grade (WG) rates that would be paid by the contracting activity for the various classes of service employees expected to be utilized under the contract if 5 U.S.C. 5332 (General Schedule-white collar) and/or 5 U.S.C. 5341 (Wage Board-blue collar) where applicable:

Notes:
1. Federal Grade Equivalency (FGE) is usually one grade above the class that performs the work being inspected.
2. Wage Grade (WG) is usually rated at the grade that performs the work being inspected.
3. Fringe benefits for U.S. Government federal hires are as follows:
| a. Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Martin Luther King’s birthday, President’s Day, | |
| Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, | |
| Thanksgiving, and Christmas Days. | |
| b. Annual Leave: Two hours of annual leave each week for an employee with less | |
| than three (3) years service; three (3) hours of annual leave each week for an employee | |
| with three (3) but less than fifteen (15) years of service; and four (4) hours of annual leave | |
| each week for an employee with fifteen (15) or more years of service. | |
| c. Sick Leave: Two (2) hours of sick leave each week. | |
| d. Insurance Programs (Life, Accident and Health): The Federal Government pays 33.3% | of the cost for basic life insurance; workman’s compensation covers 100% of accident; and |
| depending on health plan chosen, the Government pays up to 75% of the individual’s health | |
| insurance. |
4. Retirement: Employees covered under CSRS – Receive 7% of annual rate. Employees covered under FERS – Receive .08% of the individual’s basic retirement plus 1% of the individual’s Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) contribution up to 4% more matching TSP contribution.
