Solicitation Vendor Question: 832268594 - SAT Furniture S7 Admin Reconfig, 15Aug22
“…is client willing to take a look at a “console solution” for the Watch Bay Area(10 stations)…” Government Response:
The proposed furniture layout drawing does need adjusted. The Watch Floor Typical Console Workstations, as specified in PWS Section 6.4.2.2., are 34” high to allow for unobstructed views to wall monitors.
The console option is fully acceptable but must be fit in the constrained space of Room 185 with the other mission requirements. Alternative floor layouts are allowed per the PWS Section 6.1.3.1.2 stating “Similar Proposed Layouts - Dimensions shown on the Concept Drawings and Enlarged Typical Layouts denote nominal dimensions - actual dimensions can vary based on manufacturer’s standard components. The intent is to use furniture manufacturer’s standard components and sizes, similar layouts will be acceptable if the proposed layout meets the number and approximate size of workstations shown and meets the basic intent of the Concept Drawings (Appendix A) and the requirements described in this PWS. Alternate layouts must fit within the proposed work area shown on the Concept Drawings for Furniture Layout submittals shall conform to the United States Army Corp of Engineers (USACE) Engineer Research and Development Center A/E/C CAD Standard Release 6. Models shall be drawn in model space at full scale (1:1).”
