Appendix A Concept Drawings
Keynote Item #1- Calls out 8’-0” high panel system with glass. Please confirm. Would the client want full fabric panels?
The spec for Typical #1 also calls out (2) Single Monitor Arms, Slat Wall Mounted. For stability purposes, we suggest mounting to the worksurfaces. Please confirm if this is acceptable?
Drawing Sheet I-102, Keynote #1 is in error, panel height cannot exceed 84".
This Typical #1 is in error as revisions were missed in alteration of drawings. No monitor arms are required for any workstations. No worksurface mounts are required either. User prefers to use their existing monitor stands.
Appendix A Concept Drawings
Keynote Item #2- Calls out 7’-0” high panel system with glass. It appears that the Watch Floor Staff will need to view (4) wall mounted monitors. Tall panels will obstruct view, even with glass. Should these panels be shorter?
The spec for Typical #2 also calls out Monitor Arms, Slat Wall Mounted. For stability purposes, we suggest mounting to the worksurfaces. Please confirm if this is acceptable?
Drawing Sheet I-102, Keynote #2 is in error, nominal panel height is 34"max. End user does NOT want glass; only solid panels.
This Typical #2 is in error as revisions were missed in alteration of drawings. No monitor arms are required for any workstations or consoles. No worksurface mounts are required either. User prefers to use their existing monitor stands. Watch Floor workstation consoles require pedestal drawers for storage at each location.
Appendix A Concept Drawings
Keynote Item #3- Please provide entry system specifications so card reader access can be properly specified.
Card Readers shall be compatible with the existing security system which are similar or equal to HID Global’s pivCLASS RKCL40 contact, plus contactless dual interface readers.
Appendix A Concept Drawings
Keynote Item #6- Please identify on the drawing, there is no reference for #6.

Appendix A Concept Drawings
Keynote Item #12- Can the door be moved from the center position to either left or right position for more efficient storage.
Yes, this is a concept drawing. Alternative floor layouts are allowed per the PWS Section 6.1.3.1.2 stating “Similar Proposed Layouts - Dimensions shown on the Concept Drawings and Enlarged Typical Layouts denote nominal dimensions - actual dimensions can vary based on manufacturer’s standard components. The intent is to use furniture manufacturer’s standard components and sizes, similar layouts will be acceptable if the proposed layout meets the number and approximate size of workstations shown and meets the basic intent of the Concept Drawings (Appendix A) and the requirements described in this PWS.

Page 33 section 6.6.2.4
It states the watch floor will have an extra unclass and secret network box installed at each work area with 2 connectors?
Are we to assume this is in addition to the other copper and or fiber locations at these work areas?
Are we to assume that there will be (1) 2 strand fiber unclassified in the unclassified box and (1) 2 strand fiber in the secret box?
Are these to be red fibers as well as the red fibers for the Siprnet called out on Page 31 Section 6.6.2.2? Or a different color?

Calls out cable tray over top, shouldn’t it be under
the raised floor?
Cabling shall be installed in wire mesh (basket) cable tray UNDER the raised access floor. Unfortunately, the PWS Section 5.6 and 6.6.3 did not get updated with this under floor cabling requirement.

Question
Will the cabling for 185 area be above ceiling or below the floor?
Also calls out for cable tray in Room 161. Where is this room located?
Cabling shall be installed in wire mesh (basket) cable tray UNDER the raised access floor. Unfortunately, the PWS Section 5.6 and 6.6.3 did not get updated with this under floor cabling requirement.
Cable tray is in Room S7 (Office 185). Rm 161 is a typo, please disregard.
Page 34 Section 6.7.4.1
Fiber patch panels, call out for LC connectors and SC
panels. Can we assume these should be LC panels?
Yes, LC is correct.
Page 34 Section 6.7.4.1
Fiber patch panels, also calls out for 12 fibers. Are these fiber feeds to another room and rack or to the floor?
If they go to another room, how far is the racks from the new racks in 185 area?
Assuming there is going to need to be feeds coming from somewhere to bring these networks up.
Patch panels are for install in the racks in Room S7 (Office 185).
Page 33 Section 6.6.2.4
There will be 5 printers located in the office equipment area, drawing I-102 shows an office equipment area but no locations for the printers? Is there a specific spot each of these networks need to
be placed?
Printer locations in Office 185 are planned for the area designated for "Office Equipment" near Plan Northeast doorway.
Page 33 Section 6.6.2.4
The watch floor will have 8 printers for 8 networks. Drawing I-102 shows 2 printer location areas. We will assume 1 area will hold 5 and the other will hold
3. Is there a specific location for each of these networks?
Printer locations in new Watch Floor area are not determined at this time for concept drawing detail.
Your assumption is reasonable.
Pages 31- 33 Section 6.6.2.4
There are a lot of cables going to the workstations, however, they do not match up to Drawing I-501 Details 1 and 2.
Since there are so many cables going to the locations, will they all be in the cubes or walls, or will some be going in floor boxes?
Drawings are concept requirements. Cabling at each workstation does need to be integrated in the workstation panels. Cabling is will go UNDER the raised access flooring.
Drawing I-101, General Note 3
Will all the cabling for the temporary location be client provided and reused - Is this correct?
Is DISA installing or contractor?
Only comm/data cabling will be Government provided and installed to temporary workstations. Contractor is responsible for providing power conductors and install.
