Questions and Answers
1. For the "Optional training blocks conducted at Government facilities and ranges in Virginia Beach, CA and/or Pearl Harbor, HI" who would select the location? Is it the option of the contractor to select the location?
ANSWER: The Government determines its requirements and which location will fulfill training. Only Government owned facilities (i.e. U.S. Military Ranges) will be used, which are selected by the NSW Group and approved by WARCOM.
2. Can there be a determination on the number of times the class will be taught in HI as that significantly impacts pricing for Travel & Lodging of the contractors?
ANSWER: There would be no more than 2 training blocks per year in HI. This is an option only. This COI has never been conducted in HI. All other units previously traveled to San Clemente Island to receive this type of training.
3. Can the training location be modified to include the contractor facility? This would allow new emerging equipment (weapons & technology)for LRTI to be introduced or shown to the NSW cadre. This would also allow a different set of infrastructure and facilities to be trained from.
ANSWER: No. The Government’s requirements are stated in the Performance Work Statement; and the contractor should not be introducing new technologies, or plan to do so.
