No.

Question 5

Access to the dock after-hours can be coordinated on an as needed basis if it is outside of the normal dock hours (8PM-4PM). Delays should be expected.

The existing bird screen and louver are to remain.

Question 7

Does the existing exhaust ductwork contain any hazardous material or residue that needs to be removed or encapsulated prior to demolition or cleaning?

The existing ductwork has not been tested for hazardous materials.

Question 8

MH-5-03 detail 16 – there is a note that ¾” Rigid conduit with drains are required for instrument signal wiring. Please clarify if the low voltage control wiring can be ran in open plenum cable above accessible ceilings and in EMT conduit in mechanical rooms. Or if Rigid and/or EMT conduit is required for all temperature control wiring. Rigid would be used for outside applications. (I believe this was discussed at the pre-bid meeting, but I did not see a follow-up correspondence.)

DEA Labs Upgrade PBS Region 5

Per spec 230901.3.7.E: Low voltage wiring concealed above accessible ceilings does not require raceway. Run cable in EMT in mechanical rooms.

Question 9

230901-3 states that all new BAS controllers shall communicate Bacnet. The existing fume hood controllers remaining communicate using Siemens P1 protocol. It is not recommended to control the new supply/exhaust units serving areas with fume hoods through a different communication protocol. Is it acceptable if the controllers for the new supply/exhaust units

(serving areas with fume hoods) utilize Siemens P1 protocol for better operation? The AHU controllers will remain BACnet IP.

It is acceptable for the controllers for the new supply/exhaust units located on field level networks with fume hood controllers to utilize Siemens P1 protocol.

Question 10

I am under the impression that we are to fill out the questionnaires and supplemental forms as much as we can, then our references are to fill in the survey portion and email all pages to your attention. Is that correct ?

Fill out the section titled “Contract Identification,” The reference should fill out the rest of the form.

Question 11

Since our references are to submit their documentation directly to you via email, do we still include the blank versions of those forms with our bid or are we to have our references send that documentation to us as well for inclusion with our bid forms?

Forms must be received directly from the references. You may include a blank form (or one that is partially filled out) with your proposal but that is not mandatory.

Question 12

In regards to the Phased Projects that are to be turned in, is the Supplemental Information Form the only page required for Factor 3 (phased projects) or do we need to provide additional documentation with the Supplemental Information Form? I noticed that the Supplemental

DEA Labs Upgrade PBS Region 5

Information Form for phased projects does not include a section for a description of work, so I just wanted to clarify what you require.

Yes. Please include the description of work and any other information required on a separate page.

Question 13

Just to confirm, we are allowed to use a specific project for Factor 1 ($3M similar projects) and use that same specific project in Factor 2 (crane lifts) and/or Factor 3 (phased projects), correct?

My understanding is that we can’t double up on a project or reference within the same Factor.

Correct.

Question 14

Do you consider public/state-run high schools and universities governmental entities?

Yes.

File details come from the government source that posted it. Updated .
