About this file

This is a General Terms and Conditions document for the City of Glendale, California's Request for Quotation process. The City of Glendale Purchasing Division solicits quotations for conductor copper cable 500 triplex 15KV and other specified items or services. All items must be new and unused in manufacturer's packaging unless otherwise specified. Quotations must be submitted exclusively through the PlanetBids system prior to the appointed due date and time; late submissions and alternative submission methods including email and fax will not be accepted. Vendors are prohibited from submitting multiple bids or quotes in response to a single request, and any vendor submitting more than one price for the same request will have all bids rejected. The City reserves the right to accept or reject quotations on each item separately or as a whole, to split awards among multiple bidders, and to waive immaterial irregularities at its discretion. Once an award is made, a Purchase Order will be issued subject to the City of Glendale Terms and Conditions available at www.glendalepurchasing.org.

All quotation pricing must exclude sales and use tax, with such taxes to be added by the City or designated as a separate line item. Vendors submitting alternate or "or equal" items must provide detailed specification sheets substantiating equivalency, and failure to do so may result in rejection. All pricing must be based on FOB Glendale, California, with vendors bearing all costs and risks associated with packing and delivery. Payment terms must be net 30 days or longer, and cash discounts for early payment will not be considered during bid evaluation. All goods and services must comply with CAL-OSHA standards and all applicable Federal, State, and Local laws, rules, and regulations. The City is exempt from federal excise tax. Bidders are cautioned that attachment of their own terms and conditions or submission of conditional quotations may render the bid non-responsive.
