Questions and Answers
1. Can you please verify the temperatures?
The temperatures stated, (32oF to 115oF) were meant to reflect the extreme operating and non-operating conditions at the installation point. We will ventilate and/or heat this location prior to and during operation, therefore we agree 35oF to 105oF would be the more appropriate ambient operating temperatures.
2. Will a skid be sufficient for the solid base?
Intent is for the units to be mounted on one platform/skid of the vendors design for ease of factory testing, shipping, and installation with identical interface connection points. Skid mount is acceptable.
3. Can you provide more clarity on the regulating controller statement?
This is a legacy statement to indicate the Compressors and Dryers would have digital programmable controls to “regulate” their functions as described in greater detail elsewhere in this specification.
4. Can you provide additonal information on the rotary screw design and cast iron requirement?
Further explanation provide in revised SOW. Delete “with controllable slide valve for turn down flow control.”
5. Can you provide additional information on the Pressure Dew Point readout?
This is a requirement that feeds into Pressure Dew Point (PDP) control verses timed control.
6. How will we quote the representative capable of responding to repair service calls>
The quote shall include the location and capability statement for this service organization so we can assess meeting this requirement.
7. Will there be technicians to be trained by one (1) serviceman?
Correct
8. How many air tanks are in the system and what is the total volume?
The system as currently configured has one air receiver just downstream of the proposed installation point. Receiver capacity is approximately 150 ft3.
