FORKLIFT LEASE

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Q1. The RFP requests 3 annual visits for flat tire repair. If we proposed solid pneumatic tires that will help prevent any flat tires that could occur -- would that be acceptable? Or do you need rough-terrain tires?

A. Solid pneumatic tires are not acceptable as the forklifts are operated in the warehouse as well as outdoors when needed.

Q2. . Do you have any minimum lift height requirements that you need to reach?

A2. No. Standard manufacturer height is acceptable. An example model would be the Toyota 6K 8FGU30.

Q3. Are there any overhead height restrictions that these forklifts will be driving under?

A3. No.

Q4. What size fork lengths are required for each 6k and the 16k truck?

A4. The fork lengths required for the 6K Forklift is 48” inches (an example model would be the Toyota 6K 8FGU30). The fork length required for the 16k Forklift is 72” (An example model would be the Toyota 8FG7OU)

Q5. Does AFRL have a minimum age requirement in place for forklift operation on site?

A5. Yes, Forklifts must be new model and in good condition.

Q6. Are there any other specifications besides the attached?

A6. No.

Q7. Are there any equivalent make and model #'s that fit your needs, etc.?

A7. Any model that meets the specifications stated is acceptable. Specifically the Toyota 8FGU30 and 8FG7OU meet our requirements. Please note – we are not stating that these models must be quoted.

Q8. Are they Vertical Mast or Reach (Telehandler) styles, etc.?

A8. Vertical Mast
