III. ELECTROSTATIC MATERIAL
Provisions of MIL-STD-1686 (current revision) will apply when identifying all solid state devices and modules containing diodes, translators, integrated circuits and/or other microelectronic components sensitive to electrostatic forces. All such items will be packaged using electrostatic free barrier materials and will clearly bear “Electrostatic Sensitive Device” labels.

Electronic transmission of the MSDS may be accepted, depending on the receiving agency’s capabilities.
V. SUPPLEMENTAL PACKAGING REQUIREMENTS
The Contractor shall be required to repair or replace all packaging that does not meet the requirements of the contract when a contract of an item is contracted to be reengineered or repaired. This process is part of the Bid for the contract and is mandatory.
