SCOPE: This document provides General Engineering Notes to be used in conjunction with U.S. Air Force, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Engineering Data Branch (584 CBSS/GBHC) Engineering Data Lists (EDL). This document forms a permanent part of the EDL.
NOTES:
1. All government documents referenced in this data package are stipulated in DOD Index of Specs and Standards. Copies of Specs listed in DODISS may be obtained by writing to the Department of Defense Single Stock Point (DODSSP), 700 Robbins Avenue, Building #4, Section D, Philadelphia, PA, 19111-5098. When a cancelled government document is superseded by another document, the superseding document will be in effect unless otherwise specified. In the event there is no superseding document, offers’ may submit, at their discretion, alternatives to the superseded or cancelled Government documents cited in the Technical Data Package. Unless the alternative is specifically approved by the Government, the superseded or cancelled document shall remain fully applicable. As applicable, all contractor documents which reference qualification by the Prime, are changed to read “Qualification by the Government”.

3. This data package contains the outline dimensions and performance requirements necessary to manufacture this item. The successful bidder must have the engineering capabilities necessary to fabricate, test, and furnish an acceptable Air Force spare while complying with all performance specifications. The finished product(s) must meet form, fit, and function requirements.
4. The contractor must adhere to specification control, vendor item or source control drawing(s). The items must be procured from the listed vendors. Any deviation and/or modification must be approved by the Procurement Contracting Officer for substitution from other than suggested/approved sources.

6. These documents contain a legend identifying the data as proprietary to Lockheed Aircraft Corportation (LAC). LAC authorized the Government to use the data in the procurement of aircraft spares and maintenance. Accordingly, the data may be used in the manufacture of the part(s) identified herein.
7. These documents contain a legend identifying the data as proprietary to Boeing Aircraft Corporation. Boeing Aircraft Corporation has identified these drawings as Boeing Rights Guard Contracts and the use of these drawings by the Government for the procurement of spare parts is hereby authorized. The drawings must be used by the successful bidder solely for the manufacture of spare parts for the government and will not be released to any other party.

8. The use of polyvinylchloride (PVC) insulated wiring is prohibited. MIL-HDBK-454.
Guidance for material acceptable as insulation on wiring or sleeving is stated in MIL-HDBK- 1587, paragraph 5.2.7.
9. The use of aromatic polimide film material in wiring jacket or insulation is prohibited.
10. The successful bidder shall have the necessary engineering/technical skills available to interpret LOFT/MYLAR (Stable Base) data and, if required, design special tooling necessary to manufacture this item.
11. F-15 Digital LOFT Data Disk, titled, F-15 Digital LOFT Surface Configuration, (F-15 DLSC) will be provided in Initial Graphics Exchange Specification (IGES) Ver 3.0, STEP AP203 Ver 3.0.19.38 and Unigraphics Ver .18 formats for direct input to CAD/CAM Systems.
The successful bidder, upon written request to the Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO), may obtain the F-15 DLSC CD for manufacturing purposes. The PCO should contact 584 CBSS/GBHDB to make arrangements for providing the LOFT Data CD to the successful bidder.
The digital LOFT Surface Configuration Data provided on F-15 DLSC provides the only acceptable manufacturing data to ensure an accurate LOFT surface.
12. WARNING - The documents listed on this Engineering Data List contain technical data whose export is restrictive by the Arms Export Control Act (Title 22, USC, Section 2751, ET SEQ.), or the Export Administration Act of 1979, as amended, Title 50 U.S.C, Append 2401 ET SEQ. Violators of these export laws are subject to severe criminal penalties.
13. Where specified, CHEM Milling is mandatory.
14. Data contained in this package contains limiting distribution statements. However, the Systems Engineer may release the data for procurement as deemed appropriate. This data may be used and disseminated as necessary to determine whether or not the potential offeror will propose and/or prepare a proposal provided the offeror complies with the restrictions set forth herein, export control laws and other applicable laws. Authorization was granted by the engineer and the date of release is noted in the remarks column beside the top drawing only.
15. Classified/Confidential data will be furnished to the successful bidder/contractor upon request to the Procurement Contracting Officer (PCO).
16. The Systems Engineer has granted authority to use an earlier Revision of this drawing for procurement purposes.
