PWS ADDENDUM 1- COMPETITION REGION
1. The Competition Area is restricted to within 900 nautical miles of the primary owning units located at Spangdahlem AB, Germany and Aviano AB, Italy. This is calculated from an F-16 max range without external fuel tanks, flying in standard flight conditions and landing with the required amount of fuel reserves. This restriction was developed to meet the primary user requirement that no in-air refueling, stops for refueling, or no external fuel tanks be required when flying an F-16 from listed USAFE F-16 owning units to the contracted facility.
2. The Competition Area is defined as that area common to all two rings in the graphic above.
