Questions and Answers

1. Does the customer want the Windows 7 or Windows 10 Vindicator workstations?

Answer: Windows 10

2. When does the customer want this project to be completed? We would ask for 180 POP date especially if the customer wants Windows 10 workstations since they will be newly added to the approved equipment list.

Answer: The customer is requesting a 90 day POP

3. Under System 2 what is the purpose of having a VPC and IDS V5?

Answer: Market research listed this as a needed item for the Honeywell system.

4. Are these are considered the same security level or different levels? If they are different levels then each area would need their own ACS V5 and workstations.

Answer: There will be one Access Control System and badging computer/printer that controls all doors and rooms. There will be two Intrusion Detection Systems.

5. What is the purpose of the VWS (for video viewing)?

Answer: Market research listed this as a needed item for the Honeywell system.

6. Can you post the equipment list for CCTV since the posted equipment list only shows IDS and ACS equipment?

Answer: Yes, please see the revised equipment list which now has CCTV items listed.

7. Is the area considered a SCIF and need encryption tunnels required to bring encryption from 128bit to 256bit?

Answer: Please see the revised Statement of Work. This project must comply with ICD 705 Technical Specifications and must meet FIPS 140-2 requirements (245bit).

8. Does the facility have a backup generator?

Answer: Please see the revised Statement of Work. There is a backup generator for the IDS but not for

ACS.

9. Will the connection from the V5 to the Cisco switch need to be fiber or can it be CAT6?

Answer: Fiber is the approved cabling, however shielded CAT6 is approved.

10. For the equipment rack I would recommend switching to the tripp lite 45U (SR45UB) to allow for more space. Is this accept (price is about the same)?

Answer: As long as the item list says “or equal” next to the manufacturer and it is serves the same function, switching to the 45U may be acceptable. However, a 45U rack may be overly large for the equipment listed that goes inside the rack.

11. Does the equipment rack need to have tampers on the doors? All doors are lockable.

Answer: Racks do not need tampers but must be lockable.
