Questions and Responses Solicitation FA8126-16-Q-0099
Question 1: What are the dimensions (LxWxH) of the Layup Area and Paint Booth?
Response: Layup Room: 136’X90’X12’; Paint Booth: 33’X25’X12’
Question 2: Is conversion from the existing glycol chilled water system to the building Process Chilled Water part of the scope of this project?
Response: Yes. The Government will provide Process Chilled Water without Glycol within 25’ of the connection.
Question 3: If conversion to building Process Chilled Water is not part of the scope, and the existing glycol CHW system will remain in service at completion of the SOW, what are the glycol type and concentration for estimating coil performance?
Response: Process Chilled Water is a part of the scope.
Question 4: Section 3.1.1.i states “Air exhausted equal no more than 80-90% supplied OA.” This would leave the Layup area with a positive pressure relative to outdoors and to adjacent spaces. Is that the intent?
Response: Yes. Table 1 contains the numerical requirement for Layup Room pressure.
This pressure is positive relative to B9001 general area.
Question 5: What DDC controls system is required to interface with the TAFB local area network?
Response: We would want to leave it to the contractor to propose the best controls system to interface with your equipment and sensor with capabilities to communicate with the network. As long as the system demonstrate the capabilities as required in the SOW, and tech eval, we will submit to get approval for the system to be on the Tinker network.
Question 6: The TAFB standard is to route all cooling condensate to sanitary sewer. Is the existing drain currently routed to sanitary? If not, is a new drain to sanitary sewer part of the SOW?
Response: Yes. The existing drain currently is routed to sanitary.
Question 7: In the SOW, Section 4.0 states “The contractor shall complete the project prior to five (5) after contract award date.” Please clarify the length of the intended project schedule.
Response: The contractor shall complete the project prior to five (5) months after contract award date.
