Questions and Answers for the Fuel Pump Test Stand site visit on 1/26/15

1. Para 1.5 to 1.8, explosion proof vs. air purge?

Answer: All these items shall be UL Rated/labeled C1D2 (Class 1, Division 2) and installed per NEC Article 501. Air purge is not required.

2. G3 0-10” or 0-60 psig Answer: 0-60 psig

3. Para 1.13 Temp Controller only?

Answer: Yes, temperature control only. Alarm is not required.

4. Can the contractor access the test stand?

Answer: Before upgrade, the Government shall operate the test stand to verify that it is operational. If a component (not listed in the SOW for upgrade) would require repair that constrains the contractor from being able to install the upgrade kit, the contractor shall provide the Government with an estimated cost to repair in efforts to make the test stand operational. The government shall have the right to repair component (s) by the Government or contractor. If the Government provides repair, then all costs associated with the repair will be accepted by Government; if it is determined that the contractor shall provide repair, the contractor shall invoice for all costs associated with the repair and provide receipts coordinated via the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) or Government Point of Contact (POC) and gain approval from the Contracting Officer (CO).

5. E-Stop kills all power?

Answer: Yes, E-Stop shall kill all power.

6. Test screen sign on?

Answer: Yes, test screen shall have logon.

7. Air purged yes/no Answer: No

8. Fuel supply by Tinker AFB?

Answer: Yes, test fluid (fuel) is supplied by Tinker AFB.
