About this file
This synopsis document provides details for a pre-solicitation notice for the T-1A System Engineering Program Management contract opportunity. The Department of the Air Force Materiel Command Lifecycle Management Center is seeking engineering and technical support services for the T-1A aircraft. Interested parties should monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website for solicitation FA8106-19-R-0004 anticipated to issue on September 5, 2019 with responses due by December 4, 2019. The incumbent, Textron Aviation Defense, is the only approved source for this effort due to complexity and criticality requiring specialized data and experience. The contract will have a basic four year period and three two-year option periods, for a total of ten years. Pricing includes cost-plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed price, and cost reimbursement line items. This is a non-competitive action due to sole source justification.
