FA6633-15-B-0007/QJKL 09-0041
Construct Oxygen Storage, Bldg 818, Minneapolis ARS, MN
SET #1 – 12 May 2015
1. QUESTION: Do you follow the guidelines as it pertains to SDVOSB incorporating SDV status as verified by CVE?
RESPONSE: We use the Reps & Certs in the System for Award Management (SAM) to determine a company's socio-economic status. In most cases, these are self-certification (8a and HUBZone, being the exceptions). Contracting Officers can verify SDVOSB status on www.vetbiz.gov (that's the Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE)) - it is a requirement for VA set asides. Right now it is not for SDVOSB set asides by DoD or AF agencies.
2. QUESTION: . On plan sheet ES102 Note E2 it doesn’t say anything about taking out and patching back any curb, concrete, or pavement needing to be removed and patched back in order to get 4” conduit for fiber from existing tunnel to Manhole #11?
RESPONSE: The conduit must be a minimum of 24" deep and any concrete, asphalt, curb, or turf will have to be replaced to match existing conditions.
