Questions on Postal CCTV’s

1. Bosch do not do a panoramic camera with IR, would a PTZ camera be suitable? Yes

2. Recording info, you require 60 days recording is this with 24 hours motion or motion on a set time schedule say 20:00 - 06:00? 24hr recording

3. The Statement of Works states 8mp cameras and on (Attachement 3) 12mp Cameras, I have also seen 5mp. Can this be clarified as to the Specification required? Yes. Noted and clarified on the Statement of Work

4. The quote sheet just mentioned 21 cameras and the Statement of works states 5 External cameras and 16 Internal cameras, should there be a further line in the Quotation attachment for the External cameras, which we can then identify Internal and External? As these prices will be different due to specs required. Will adjust the quote sheet (Attachment 2)

5. Could you send an A4 size attachments of the building layouts as it is a little difficult seeing them on on the attached file in Attachment 3.

6. The Statement of Works is at variance with the published quote sheet in that the SoW requires

16 internal 8MP cameras and 5 panoramic 8MP externally rated cameras, whilst the Quote sheet requires 21 Bosch internal static 2MP dome cameras. Can you confirm which requirement is correct? Corrected on the Statement of Work

7. The solicitation does not require a network switch, although to connect these cameras to the recorder, a minimum of a 24 port PoE switch is required (the design uses 22 ports so leaves very little room for expansion). Can you confirm that a PoE network switch is required and the number of ports on the switch? Added the 24 port PoE to the request

8. Is it a requirement for the CCTV recorder and the network switch to be housed in a secure lockable cabinet? If not can you confirm where the CCTV recorder and switch are to be located.

No, it will be located in the Superintendent office

9. Can you confirm the size and location of the CCTV monitor? Is this to be wall mounted (the size of the monitor will depend on the number of cameras to be displayed at any one time)?. In the past it has been suggested that a 32” or 40” monitor is installed on the wall opposite the

Supervisor’s desk? It is to be mounted on the wall across from the superintendents desk and it can be no bigger than 42 inch

10. Some of the cameras are sited at high level above the existing postal service racking. To enable the old cameras to be removed and new units installed it may be required to utilise high level access equipment. Can you confirm if it is possible for the Postal racking to be moved during the CCTV system installation and if so who would be responsible? (we believe that the racking is bolted to the floor) We will be responsible but require 2 weeks notice of when you need them removed

11. Instead of an 8mp camera and heated housing ,would a 5mp bullet with 60m ir leds

,automatic zoom lens suffice for the rear outside doors. Yes

12. We don’t manufacture a 32” 4k screen for cctv purposes ,we make a 55” 4k cctv screen

,would this be ok, this can be on 24/7 365 days. No, can only fit a 42inch

13. To calculate storage requirements for 30 or 60 days ,I need to know if the system is going to be recording on motion ,if so how many hours per day ,and what frame rate is required (30fps, 25fps 20fps, 15fps, 12fps) Not on motion/25fps

14. Has anybody mentioned Raid 5/Raid 6 recording, this allows for up to 2 or 3 HDD failures and would still fully function for recording the schedules in place. Has not been mentioned

15. For the external PTZ cameras would you like illuminators, (which work both White light and

Infra Red) to work with the Smart Analytical PTZ Cameras for added Security? What this means is that should someone inturde into an area the White light will go on to identify, or the

Infra Red to track the person or vehicle. Infra-Red
