FA5422-19-R-7001 Responses to Questions # 2 12 JUNE 2019
Questions Answers Paragraphs 2.2.1 and 2.2.3. call for a Cisco-managed router that will link to the government furnished Cisco Meraki MS320-24 Switch. May we offer a combination of Cisco and non-Cisco equipment if we can guarantee the solution will function in accordance with the PWS and the GFE Cisco Switch.
Cisco managed equipment is mandatory
Can the Government provide the area (in square meters or square feet) for the desired Wifi coverage?
The contractor will be responsible for bringing the required bandwidth to the base to handle the stated number of users. The government will handle the Wifi distribution via WAPS, point to point equipment, and cable runs.
Will the Wifi be in one building or across multiple buildings? And if across multiple buildings, is it possible to interconnect buildings with Point-to-Point equipment?
It is spread across multiple buildings. The government will provide point to point solutions to ensure we have the necessary coverage.
Is any portion of the desired Wifi area in an outdoor/outside location?
Yes, both indoors and outdoors
I am hoping to find out if there is an incumbent contractor currently performing these services, if similar services have been performed in the past, or if this is a new requirement. If there is an incumbent, could you please provide the contract or task order number?
This is not a new requirement.
