QUESTIONS &ANSWERS RFQ: FA527019QA063

QUESTIONS (Q) AND ANSWERS (A) 4 sep. 2019 For

Solicitation Number: FA527019QA063 Uninterruptable Power Supply Procurement and Installation at Fort Buckner, Okinawa Japan

Q1. New One-line - I see there is only 1 feed to panel CP. We need to know if there are any spare breakers in panel CP and if so, what size are they? Are there any spare slots that we can add breakers to? We have to know if we can back feed a breaker in panel CP while we change everything out.

On the SOW:"2.5 A means of supplying temporary power to the SATCOM equipment must be included in the removal of the existing UPS to insure there is no loss of power at any time."Is the SATCOM equipment in the other building and fed from the 250A breakers in MDP-A and MDP-B that go off the page on the one-line? If we are able to keep power to at least one of those 250A breakers at all times, will that keep the SATCOM equipment up? I assume they are redundant feeds. Please confirm.

A1. Yes these are redundant feeds, 250A breaker in MDP-A and MDP-B goes to B-106 which is a separate SATCOM building. So keeping power to either MDP-A or MDP-B will keep power to B-106. Keeping power to one of the cabinets you will still be able to supply power to panel "CP" using the maintenance bypass cabinet without having to back feed any breakers in the panel "CP".
