MEMORANDUM FOR ALL INTERESTED PARTIES

FROM: 36 CONS/LGCB

Bldg 22026 Unit 14040

Andersen AFB, Yigo, GU 96929

SUBJECT: Responses to Questions/Requests for Information 2 Submitted for FA5240-17-Q-M012

- Cryogenics Plant Compressor Package (Motor)

1. The following requests have been submitted by interested parties. All questions and answers are included as follows:

Q: Please verify what foundation securing that is required for this unit:

a. Bolted

b. Four corner secured by angle bar

c. Just to have it as same as the existing unit, just sitting on top of the concrete floor without any securing device.

A: C. Just to have it as same as the existing unit, just sitting on top of the concrete floor without any securing device.

Q: The existing door way appears to have been larger at one time and a column of concrete blocks have been added to make the door way smaller to accommodate the installation of a roll-up door.

If there are minimum acceptance construction criteria related to the installation of this concrete column, please provide details or drawings to the statement of work. If none and up to the contractor, then current SOW will suffice.

Can concrete wall supporting the roll-up door be partially removed (18”x8’ up) and concrete slab outside of the wall (3’x3’x5’ high approx.) on the right side when facing the door opening. To make room for us to remove existing compressor.

The new compressor is then to be installed. Upon installation of the new unit, we will rebuild and re-install the roll-up door and concrete wall to its original configuration.

What is the purpose of the concrete slab (3’x3’x5’ high approx.)? Do we need to re-install the concrete slab?

A: We suggest dictating that roll up door either be returned to its original configuration or made larger with a new roll-up door being installed.
