Base Pool Slide Project

Question Answer Can we submit more than one estimate to provide different slide options?

Yes. Contractors may submit more than one quote to offer different slide options.

Are contractors required to have a General Contractor’s license to work on this project?

No – GC license is not required.

Does the fencing around the base of the slide need to come down and be replaced, or can we stay within the current footprint?

If removal of the fence is necessary for the completion of the project, We require that the fencing be replaced or returned to its original condition.

What is the work schedule/period of performance for this project?

This project is to be completed no later than 15 April 2022.

The work schedule for this project will be flexible and can be coordinated with the customer after contract award.

A federal employee or uniformed service member will periodically visit the work site during each phase to ensure all work is being completed in accordance with the Statement of Objectives and Project Specificiations.

Can the pool be drained if necessary?

No – the pool cannot be drained.

Does the new slide have to be the exact design as the current one, or will a similar design suffice?

No – there is no need to match the exact same design. A slide with a similar footprint will suffice.

What signage will the contractor be responsible for providing?

Contractor will provide signage for riding instructions and safety info for using the slide. All signage to be approved by FSS before production

Can the chain link fence come down for the installation?

Yes, a section of the fence can be removed for the install. Contractor will replace after install is complete. Fence will only be removed on the back side of the slide (adjacent to the Fitness Center).

In accordance with OSHA standards, Contractor must provide a secure barrier/fence to be used while the existing section of chain link fence is removed, along with signage for the area.
