Pool Slide Requirements

Existing structure must be demolished and removed

Type: 40’’-45’’ open body slide, centerline roughly 150’

Tower height should be roughly 19.5’-20.5’

Slide must fit in place of current slide without obstructing the path around the back side of the pool

All steel components of slide should be coated in heat-resistant powder coating to prevent rusting and deterioration from contact with chlorinated water and natural elements (or equivalent coating that provides same level of protection for slide components)

All bolts/hardware should be rust proof

Fiberglass should be coated with industrial fiberglass coating such as epoxy, acrylic, polyflouropolymer, or polycarbonate for safety and longevity

Fiberglass, powder coat and other customizable elements should be blue/best match the existing sunshades at the outdoor pool location

Canopy should be provided/installed to protect the top platform of tower as well as entry to slide. The canopy should provide at least 80% shade and 90% UV protection.

This is to prevent platform from becoming too hot. (Canopy size should be relative to size of top platform, resistant to weather including extreme ambient heat, rain, hail, wind up to 150mph)

Tower stairs should be made from a material meant to withstand high ambient heat and prolonged contact with chlorinated water

Tower stairs should be slip resistant, wide tread, and designed to prevent slip and fall accidents

Slide rule signage should be provided

Ride instruction sign should be included

Freight should be included

All relevant labor should be included

Flume should be adequately supported with materials resistant to high ambient heat and prolonged contact with chlorinated water

Flume sections should be sealed to prevent leaking

Pool slide pump and motor to be provided, shipped, and installed.

Pump and motor assembly should include strainer and any other components required for operation of pool slide

Plumbing should be completed

Electrical components upgraded to match needs of slide/motor/pump
