1.0 SCOPE

a. Purpose

a. The purpose of the Tyndall Air Force Base (TAFB) project XLWU 19-8111, Base Recycle Center, is to repair hurricane damage and to bring the building and its supporting facilities into full compliance with current building codes, including the DoD Building Code, and the portion of the Florida Building Code that contains the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) provisions. (TAFB will be treated as a Wind Zone 4 located site in accordance with UFC-3-301-01). This project delivery method is Design-Build (D-B). Work on supporting facilities includes external building fixtures, building utilities within the Points of Demarcation (POD) for privatized utilities, and work within the Administration / Office Building. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, tools, materials, and services necessary to complete the project within the allotted timeframe.

b. This project has an estimated period of performance from Notification to Proceed

(NTP) through completion and turnover of the facility back to the Government for mission operations of 280 calendar days.

b. Field Changes:

a. Field Changes: The Contractor and the Government may agree to perform a no cost field change. Field changes are made when the change appears to be mutually beneficial to all parties and would not require changing the negotiated items. All field changes must be approved by the CO prior to execution. Only the CO may authorize field changes or deviations from the SOW.

2.0 Summary of Work

2.1 Clean, repair, caulk and replace portions of the exterior walls

2.1.1 Clean Exterior Walls ~ 5400 sf

2.1.2 Repair Exterior Walls 100 sf

2.1.3 Paint Exterior Surfaces as needed ~200 sf

2.2 Replace roof sections, ridge caps, soffit, fascia drip edge, gutter, downspouts with Hurricane Level 4 components

2.2.1 Install Sheet metal Hip Roof ~ 7000

2.2.2 Install roof ridge cap ~ 100 lf

2.2.3 Replace Soffit ~ 300 lf

2.2.4 Replace Fascia ~ 300 lf

2.2.5 Replace Gutter ~ 200

2.2.6 Replace drip edge and downspouts ~ 160 lf

2.2.7 Replace 12 X 12 awning over battery Rack

2.2.8 Ensure Roof and Building is grounded ~ 7000 sf

2.3 Replace all doors on all sides of the building to comply with

AT/FP requirements and in coordination with structural requirements

2.3.1 Incorporate (3) motorized rollup doors with hurricane

resistant level 4 installation - 12 X 12 Insulated

2.4 Windows - No Work Required - Not Included in this Project

2.5 Remove, mold remediate, replace, and insulate interior walls ~ 2600 sf

3.2 Replace defective Outlets (20)

3.2.1.1 Replace defective duplex outlets and protective covers

3.2.1.2 Replace defective 110V duplex outlets

3.2.1.3 Replace defective GFCI 110V duplex outlets

3.2.1.4 Replace defective 220V outlets

3.3 Install Conduits as needed

3.4.1 Repair and replace small communications antenna
