PDS Replacement Additional Solicitation Questions
1. Are offerors able to submit bid responses to the contact identified in the RFQ documents? Yes
2. Is there an expected award date or time frame for scheduling of resourcing purposes, the POP states 20 days, will there be time allotted for material procurement and receipt as well as a kick of meeting? The 20 days is for installation, terminating, and testing of fiber start to finish. There will be procurement time on top of the 20 days. The existing fiber cannot be taken out until ALL circuits are cut over to new fiber.
3. Will the government identify and tag the existing fiber optic cables to be removed prior to the start of the 20 days POP? When the time comes to pull the old fiber out we will assist with the identification of the fibers that get removed. Once they are out of the buildings it should be easy.
4. In the SOW it is identified that (4) 144-strand fiber optic cables shall be installed, is this to be (4) cables per Building/Room to Building/Room or is this representing a total of (4) 144-strand fiber cables? It will be (4) 144ct SM fibers (Unclassified, Secret, Coalition, and TS) from Building 570 room S215 to SOCOM Building 501B room 208.
