1) On sheet A4.1 note 12 states to replace 20 interior door hardware sets that are missing or damaged. Sets to be identified by government. How are we to proceed in pricing this hardware?

Answer: Malmstrom performed a walk through of the facility today. Not all of the areas were accessible due to either stored furniture being in the way or failed Onity locks which would not allow access to the rooms.

Closets – 5 missing and 1 broken schlage ND10S-RHO lever handle cylindrical – passage lock (brass finish)

Bathroom – 4 mismatched lock sets.

Schlage D10S-RHO knob handle – orbit style knob, privacy lock (chrome finish)

Kitchens – 2 missing Schlage - Lockable lever handle – privacy lock (brass finish)

How the remaining 9 are estimated would be some combination of these 3 lock set types.

2) On sheet A4.1 note 10 states to replace all damaged door stops. How do we quantify these?

Answer: This is a unclear note. It should state to repair all damaged door stops. That I’m currently aware of there are a handful of button style wall mounted door stops that have been knocked through the sheetrock wall. At these location blocking should be installed. The sheetrock repaired and the door stop re-mounted.

3) Please verify that the hardware is to be US10B finish, as other dorms have been changed to US26D after bid opening.

Answer: Unsure of the finish types. Answer to the first question gives the existing hardware finish.

Answer: Unsure of the finish style. The current kitchen, and closet hardware are a polished brass. The bathroom hardware is a chrome finish.

4) Bathroom doors have both note 12 & 13 on them - is all hardware to be re-used except for need new deadbolt?

Hardware is to be re-used except for the mismatched hardware mentioned in comment 1 or as required to be replaced by note 12.
