Regarding Bid item 105

Question: We would like to know how we are intended to quantify this bid item as it is nearly impossible to price due to hidden or unforeseen conditions. Is there an option to give a unit price or estimated quantities as described in FAR Clause 36.207 ? Dollar amounts for man hours & materials could be anywhere from hundreds of dollars to ten's of thousands of dollars as this involves but not limited to cabinets, GWB, taping, painting.

Answer: General note 5 on sheet M1.0 states that the "kitchen base cabinets are to be removed and reinstalled as needed to repair domestic water supply." General note 10 on sheet A1.1, A1.2 and A1.3 state to "patch walls and ceiling as required from fire suppression and plumbing repair work." Malmstrom envisions having to remove and reinstall all of the kitchen sink cabinet bases and having to patch and repair all areas that have domestic water lines running in them in order to repair the domestic water supply system.
