Solicitation FA4484-11-R-0004

Integrated Solid Waste Questions and Answers #2

1. Question: In regarding CLIN 0002AM ( and of course the related line items for the other years).

The line item is showing 78 @ 6

It lists about 71 at 6 yards in the PWS that have scheduled weekly pickups. There are an additional 8 at 6 yards that are on call. I don’t see a separate line item for On Call Pick up.

So if they are to be included in CLIN 00002AM (and of course the related line items for the other years), I am not sure how that can be done without knowing the number of times they are dumped?

Answer: Yes, the on call pick up is part of the CLIN00002AM, you would pick these containers up on the next scheduled round of pick ups after being notify.

2. Question: Looking at 0002AN (and of course the related line items for the other years).

Similar issue. Th4e CLIN show 20 cans, 16 are scheduled weekly pickups (various Freq) 4 are found as on call.

Answer: Yes, the on call pick up is part of the CLIN00002AN, you would pick these containers up on the next scheduled round of pick ups after being notify.

3. Question: OK, I think I have this figured out. I take the clin and whatever code (MAFB TWCF CRW). The first part is the base it is on. Then I just look for the rest of the Fund Type on the respective base to determine the service levels.

All though they don’t seem to correspond exactly.

For instance: 0002AC ( The foreign trash pickup) the CLIN says there is 3 @ 6 cubic yards while the PWS page( 2) 1.1.3.7 says there are 2 @ 6 yard and one @ 8 cubic yards service every 3 days. ( not 3x per week, but every 3 days, a rather unusual schedule for sure) then if you look at Table A2 (McGuire) building number 1706 shows 4 @ 6 cubic yards serviced 6x times per week.

Answer: Please see revised PWS.

Question: For instance 0002AD:

The CLIN sheet shows 7 @ 6 cubic yards while the PWA is showing 5 @ 6 cubic yards and 3 @ 8 cubic yards at various levels of service.

Answer: Response: Please utilize Bid Schedule Quantities for bidding purposes

Question: For instance 0002AF the Fund type is MAFB MED. Which I can’t find anywhere….

Answer: Please see page 14 and 15 of the PWS

4. Question: Please give another example of how to use this line item pricing. In the example given CLIN 0015AA is one that is fairly easy to understand as it is a straightforward price per ton.

How about for example 0002AA page 10 of 321?

Unit price would be the price per month for all of the listed services?

Answer: Yes

And estimated cost would be 12 times that? (12 months in a year?)

Answer: Yes

It is a price for 114 containers both 6 and 8 yd & 3 at 35 yard compactors?

Answer: No, See conformed copy of SF1449

What is the frequency of service on these? And how many 6 yard cans and how many 8 yard cans? Can’t give a monthly price without knowing that. Where do I find that info?

Answer: Please review Appendix A for frequency

5. Question referring to question 12. I still cannot find information concerning the freq of collection for this item

Answer: Please re-review A2 of the Performance Work Statement, information concerning Frequency of collection is provided
