This task is calculated by EA and includes labor and equipment to perform the work.

014 – REPAIR PAVEMENT OR CEMENT DUE TO REMOVAL OF TRAFFIC

DOTS/MARKERS: Dot markers removal due to damage and if damage is more than direct surface

(hole is made) area must be saw cut and filled with same material (asphalt or concrete). This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, material and equipment.

This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, material and equipment.

019 - INSTALL NEW SIGN POLE: If installation of new sign pole is to replace an existing location no dig permit is required. Old concrete footing is to be removed, new concrete footing poured, and sign pole is to be placed so sign pole is level on all sides. Installation of new sign pole at new location requires the above as well as a dig permit. This task is calculated by EA and includes

020 - INSTALL NEW SIGN POLE SLEEVE – Install sign pole sleeve to support number 019.

Sign pole sleeve is to be level on all sides. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, material

021 - REMOVE EXISTING POLE: Existing pole is to be removed as well as the concrete footing holding it in place and the hole is to be filled with soil, compacted and finished to match surrounding grade. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, material and equipment.

022 - NEW SIGN: Lettering and graphics of the sign is to be made using a computer program and a special cutting or laser method of creating the wording and graphics on differing materials. Requests can be made for all differing types of colors and reflective or non-reflective materials. In most cases a one color background is applied to a steel metal or aluminum metal in the size requested and words, number and/or graphics are then applied onto the background in a neat, centered and appealing layout. Layouts of sign are to be IAW Federal, State and local government codes or by means of a provided layout design, drawing or plan. Signs are measured by square feet (SF) regardless of amount of lettering involved. This task includes labor, material and equipment.

023 - NEW MAGNETIC SIGN: Same as number 022 but is applied to magnetic material. Signs are measured by square foot (SF) regardless of amount of lettering involved. This task includes labor, material and equipment.

024 - INSTALL SIGNS TO EXISTING POLE: This line item is to be used for a sign to be installed onto existing poles by means of two bolts on a standard pole as indicated in number 018.

This also applies to signs installed on existing light poles or other means of strapping devices used to attach the sign. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, material and equipment.

025 - REMOVE EXISTING SIGN: Removal of any size or type of sign from existing pole, light pole, or any other means that the sign is attached. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, 026 - PROVIDE/INSTALL NEW SIGN FRAME: This is for the making and installation of a B3, D2 or other like or type of sign. Fabricated sign frames consist of 3’’x 3” vertical post, 2”x 2” cross member, 2” x 1“ channel and installation. Include installation of frame in ground but does not include making of sign. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, material and equipment.

027 - REFACE EXISTING SIGNS: This is for placing a one color background material usually on the back side of existing or newly made signs. This is usually the base dark brown color but can be any color of choice and can be reflective or non-reflective material. This task is measured by square feet (SF). This task includes labor, material and equipment.

028 - MUTCD/CalTrans DIAMOND GRADE SIGN: This is the new highway sign code and all signs must meet or exceed the Federal, State and local government code for this type of sign. There is a higher grade that could be required at a later date and will be provided if requested. These signs are mostly the STOP, YIELD, etc. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, material and delivery.

029 - FREE STANDING SIGN STAND: These stands are round based, approximately 40 to 60 lbs in total weight so not to blow over in high winds and have a round pole about half way up the sign shaft and then flat section at top with multiple holes to match existing holes, move sign up or down as needed and to keep sign flat against the pole. This task is calculated by EA and includes labor, 030 - PRESSURE SENSITIVE LETTERS/GRAPHICS - GLASS DOORS: This is for lettering and/or graphics with lettering on glass surfaces no greater than 2 FT x 2 FT. This can be made in differing colors and then applied to the glass surface removing all bubbles, line and creases. In most cases this is a frosted glass etch type look. The Government provides any government type of graphics or specialized graphics needed for this task. This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, material, standard graphics and equipment.

031 - TAPE/TEXTURE DRYWALL: Tape with a paper or manmade mesh product and use drywall mud over this material in all corners, ceiling connections and where drywall meets other drywall to cover all of these areas. Sand smooth, reapply as needed until smooth enough to match adjacent areas and/or ready for texturing. If texture is being applied it is to match or blend with existing wall or nearby walls matching as best as possible to existing texture. If texture is for completely new area or can blend into other existing areas use a light knock down method of texturing. This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, material and equipment.

032 - PATCH/PLASTER/SAND DRYWALL: Patching/plaster and sanding will be used for holes in the drywall that exceed one (1) square inch in size and in most cases will be followed by line number 041 “Paint Interior”. Holes that exceed the one (1) square inch size will be prepped for proper patching/plastering of the hole(s), sanded and then textured to match existing area. Holes or damage areas not to exceed 4 SF. This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, 033 - PAINT INTERIOR (1 COAT): Before painting the holes in the walls one (1) inch square or less will be patched or filled, sanded and texture matched to existing. Once the wall(s) are prepped for painting they can be sprayed, brushed or roll painted as the contractor determines to be the best coverage giving the best appearance. The contractor is responsible to protect the flooring, furniture and other office equipment and/or furniture in the working area. This task is calculated by square feet

(SF) and includes labor, material and equipment.

034 - WALLPAPER REMOVAL: Wallpaper will be removed by best method determined by the contractor leaving as little to no damage to the drywall underneath. The contractor will then skim-coat the walls and sand to as smooth of a finish as possible. This line number will likely be proceeded by line numbers 039 and 041 to finish the walls. This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, material and equipment.

035 - PAINT TRIM/MISC: Most offices have trim only around the doors as the floors are a rubber cove base material and there are very few offices with chair railing and/or ceiling molding. This painting of trims and miscellaneous will mostly be wood surfaces accomplished with a semi-gloss or gloss type of paint but could include metal or other types of trim. This task is calculated by linear feet

(LF) up to a 6 inch width and includes labor, material and equipment.

036A – 4 inch width

036B – 6 inch width

037 - REMOVE ACOUSTICAL CEILING: Removal of acoustical ceiling is also referred to as a popcorn type ceiling. Before removal can be accomplished it must be determined that no asbestos is present in the materials being removed. The government will have this test accomplished and a copy of the results will be provided to the contracted (if needed) and a copy to the contracting office. Other line numbers may be used or needed to texture and paint. This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, material and equipment.

038 - REPAIR ACOUSTICAL CEILING: Due to the cost of removing the acoustical ceiling materials there is sometimes a need to repair or patch damaged areas in the old ceiling material. This repair is to match as best as possible with the existing material and touched up to match the color as best as possible. This task is calculated by square feet (SF) and includes labor, material and
