Questions/Answers MAHG201049 Renovate Larcher Chapel

1) Reference Specification Section 013323 “Shop Drawings, Product Data, and Samples”.

We have been unable to locate this section. Please Advise.

A.) OMIT Section 013323 from the Bid Documents. Refer to the Statement of Work.

2) Reference Specification Section 015123 “Temporary Heating, Cooling, and Ventilating”.

We have been unable to locate this section. Please advise.

A.) OMIT Section 015123 from the Bid Documents

3) Reference Division 02 of the specifications. Please confirm that there is no sodding or planting required for this project?

A.) Contractor shall grade the site according to Sheet A5.1 Grading Plan. Fine grading and sod the disturbed areas of the site (added per Addendum #1).

4a) Reference Drawings Sheet FP1.2 Detail 2. Located at the bottom right of that detail it reads “6” ductile Iron UG feed (By Others)”. Is the general contractor responsible for getting 6” ductile iron pipe to the new riser room?

A) The contract will be required to tap into existing 6” water main located along “B” Street and install new fire hydrant, cutoff valve, Post Indicator Valve and Fire Department Connection to Riser Room. (See Sheet AD1.0-1.1)

4b) Where does the other end of UG ductile iron connect to utility supply? Has testing been performed to confirm adequate water pressure or volume for new system?

A) Testing has not been done; the contactor shall use a 6” pipe until such time calculations indicate a smaller pipe size can be used. Vectrus can provide a flow test if required. The new connection point will be an existing 6” water main running along “B” Street. (See Sheet AD1.0-1.1)

5) Reference Drawings Sheet FP1.1 General Notes 2 and 11. 2 Fire Department connection.

Will this system require a Fire Department Connection? 11 Is the AHJ with the City or Contracting Officer?

A) Note 2: Yes, reference sheets AD1.0 and AD1.1 in this amendment. Note 11: The AHJ on Base is the Fire Department

6) Reference Drawing sheets A5.5 and A5.7. Each drawing references a canopy outside of door 504. We have been unable to locate a specification section nor detail drawing of said canopy. Please provide specifications and details.

A.) See attached specification 107300 Over Head Protection. Contractor to provide shop drawings of proposed canopy.

7) Reference Drawing Sheet A2.3. Vestibules 202 and 205 note “Ridge Beam See Sections”.

We have been unable to locate sections. Please provide sections of Beam.

A.) Please reference sheet A2.2, Section Mark notes detail Section 2/ Sheet A2.4.

8) Reference specification Division 2. Site Contractor suggests $100,000.00 allowance added to the contract price for site work. Site Contractor unable to quote project accurately with limited information.

A. No separate allowance will be identified within project. CLIN/option bids should be calculated accordingly. See Addendum 1 for additional site grading details.

9) Reference Drawing Sheet A2.2. Room 202 and 205 have new partitions but we have been unable to locate partition type. Please provide partition types for each new partition in said rooms A. Reference the Title Sheet, T1.0, Drawing Index. Note that the Wall Types are found on Sheet G0.4.

10) Reference Drawings Sheet A2.2. Rooms 201 and 202 have partitions but we have been unable to locate partition type. Please provided partition types for each new partition in said rooms. Note! There are 2 separate rooms on sheet A2.2 with the same room number (202)!

A. Reference the Title Sheet, T1.0., Drawing Index. Note that the Wall Types are found on Sheet G0.4. No duplicate room numbers were found on Sheet A2.2 - Note that numbers in a rectangle box below the room name is the room number, and numbers found within a circle located at doors are the door numbers. (Reference Sheet G0.1 for Drawings Symbols)
