About this file
This document is a Self-Employment Guide from the Arizona Department of Economic Security's Rehabilitation Services Administration (VR) Vocational Rehabilitation Program. The form is designed to help individuals with disabilities develop a comprehensive business concept overview as part of a self-employment support initiative. It provides a structured template for potential entrepreneurs to outline their business ideas, market research, skills, training needs, and expansion plans.
The guide requires detailed information across multiple sections, including proposed business idea, labor market research, prior skills and experience, education and training, required services and supports, and potential employment opportunities. For new businesses, applicants must describe their business concept, target market, competitors, marketing and pricing strategies, budget estimates, and financial projections. The document also includes sections for existing businesses seeking expansion, requiring documentation such as a profit and loss statement and plans for future product or service development. The ultimate goal is to help individuals with disabilities assess the feasibility of their business concept and identify the resources and support they may need to successfully launch or grow their enterprise.
