About this file
This is a registration guide for the eSupplier system, which is the vendor registration platform used by the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota for businesses seeking to conduct commerce with the city. The guide provides step-by-step instructions for registering a business or individual in the eSupplier portal, which is a prerequisite for participating in city procurement opportunities. The registration process requires vendors to provide identifying information including Social Security Number, Employer Identification Number, or Tax Identification Number; entity name; business type classification; primary business address; email address; and at least one authorized contact with login credentials. Vendors must also select applicable sourcing categories during registration to receive notifications of relevant solicitations and bids. The guide notes that registration requests require approval before vendors can access the system.
After approval, vendors receive an email containing their User ID and temporary password, which they must use to access eSupplier and change their password upon first login. The registration guide does not specify contract terms, pricing structures, set-asides, or funding amounts, as it functions solely as an instructional document for the vendor registration process. For the related Project SAFE RFQ issued by the City of Minneapolis Neighborhood Safety Department, organizations must first complete eSupplier registration before submitting qualifications. The RFQ seeks organizations to provide intensive outreach, case management, resource navigation, and crisis response services to youth and adults at highest risk of gun violence involvement through a two-stage competitive procurement process.
