Laurel.Bishop Typewritten Text 13 April 2013

Q1. Can MARAD provide in area on the ship for the Contractor to utilize as an office, given the limited pier space available, such as the Chief Steward’s office? The Chief Stewards Office will be available for the Contractor. Arrangements must be made with the Academy for reimbursement of any phone calls made.

Q2. Item 98 calls out for one (1) receptacle per bunk bed in the bunk light. Is this the only outlets required in the bunks, other than the additional 21 duplex outlets noted in Item 101? Yes. No strips like prior installation? Correct.

Q3. The Proposal Submission Instructions requires the Offerors to include a Gantt chart with their bid. Work Item 109.1 requires this to be submitted 5 days after award. Please clarify. A Gannt chart is required with your bid submission. An updated version of that chart is due within 5 days after award.

Q4. The Proposal Submission Instructions requires the Offerors to include a Subcontractor list with their bid. Work Item 109.3 requires this to be submitted 5 days after award. Please clarify. A list of subcontractors is due upon bid submission. An updated version of that list is due within 5 days after award.

Q5. Is the present fire plan reflective of the changes to the new bulkheads that make the Fire Boundary designated ratings in compliance with SOLAS “cargo ship” requirements? Reference 23 – Drawing 1247-S93-1-1 will be current with regard to the the new berthing and toilet shower areas only.

Q6. Can MARAD confirm that under the “false deck” in compartment 2-75-1 there is a wire run that must also be removed? We believe that all wiring has been removed. If wiring is found, it shall be dealt with under the Supplemental Labor and Materials ITEMs.

Q7. Does MarAd require wireless connectivity from each bunk, and if so, how is this requirement covered in the specification? The SOW does not address wireless connectivity. The Academy is responsible for providing wireless connectivity.

Q8. Is an advance long lead material list required if any of the material is deemed long lead? Notification shall be made to the Contracting Officer upon bid submission if long lead materials cannot be obtained in sufficient time to complete the contract on schedule.

Q9. Can the Gov’t provide a CD with all the ship’s dwgs? Yes. Contractors desiring an electronic copy (CDs) of all available ship’s drawings should make that request in writing to the Contracting Officer.

Q10. Does the Gantt have to show material ordering, as this will be months before the Production phase? Yes, especially if it affects a critical path.

Q11. Will copies of the ship’s drawings in the areas to be modified be available to the Contractor for removal from the vessel for copying? No. Electronic copies are available of all available printed drawings aboard the ship.

Q12. Is a drawing index available for the ship’s dwgs? Yes, however it is not up to date.

It shall be included with the CDs of all drawings.

Q13. Is any of the piping running to the forward and aft MSD units from the new toilets to be 6”? Only 3” and 4” are stated.

Q14. The box is checked for Service Contract Act. Please confirm that prevailing wages will apply for this contract. Yes.

Q15. Can the Government provide a copy of ABS Letters applicable to the dwgs ? Yes.

They can be obtained on the CDs containing the electronic drawing copies.

Q16. The SOW does not mention any benchs to be provided in the space, but the dwg shows them. Please clarify? The Contractor shall provide and install all benches indicated in the drawings. The specific make/model of bench recommended by the Contractor shall be approved by the COR.

Q17. The parking Item, Item 18, states that parking with permission is available in the Town parking area. The town parking has signs that state 3 Hour Limit. Will the Contractor not be allowed to park alongside the pier if spaces are available?

Arrangements shall be made with the town to park vehicles in the town lot for the entire day that work is going on. Temporary, short term parking will be permitted alongside the pier for dropping off/picking up men and/or supplies, if a parking space is available.

Q18. Item 22 states that scrap credit should be included in the Contractor pricing for each item. The Government doesn’t want this broken out separately, but rather deduct it from the quoted price to arrive at a final quoted price? Correct.

Q19. Work Item #90 requires the Contractor to modify any penetrations AS needed to satisfy the applicable codes and regulations. This includes piping, wiring, and HVAC penetrations. Dwg 1247-S39-1-1 includes sleeved penetrations for both A and B class bulkheads. Are B Class penetrations going to require sleeves? The Contractor is responsible for modifying, as necessary, all penetrations adjoining the new passageways to the satisfaction of the USCG/ABS. If sleeves are required, then sleeves will have to be installed.

Q20. Work Item #90 requires the Contractor to modify any penetrations AS needed to satisfy the applicable codes and regulations. This includes piping, wiring, and HVAC penetrations. Many, if not most, of the existing penetrations do not meet current regulations. Some large wiring transits do not presently meet regulations, and wires will be disturbed in the transit. Please clarify what the Contractor’s responsibility will be relative to these existing penetrations. The Contractor is responsible for modifying, as necessary, all penetrations adjoining the new passageways to the satisfaction of the

USCG/ABS.

Q21. Please confirm that the lockers and berths are sent with sub-bases/foundations.

Yes.

Q22. Does the Government want the decking to run under the foundations for the berthing and lockers, so if changes in the room configuration occur, the decking is already present? No.

Q23. How does the Government want the Contractor to install the foundations, such as welded, bolted, etc ….? Studs/bolts are to be welded to the deck. The foundations are to be bolted to the studs/bolts.

Q24. Work Item #7 requires the Government to submit the plan to relocate the Laundry Strainer. Is that a submittal required with the Offer? In what format will this be required (include dwgs?)? Relocation of the strainer and any other piping associated with the 3 lockers in that area requires a recommendation to the COR and approval of the plan by the COR prior to the relocation. This can be accomplished with sketches and does not have to be submitted with the offer.

Q25. The closet where the Laundry Strainer currently resides is a steel box, but the steel bulkheads were not depicted in the removals/dwgs. Please clarify. Removal of the bulkhead is indicated in Drawing 1247-S33-1-1.

Q26. There is additional piping in closet where the Laundry Strainer currently resides that is not depicted in the dwgs. What does the Government wish to do with this additional piping? Refer to amended ITEM 7.

Q27. There is existing insulation on the hull that is not discussed in the SOW. What is the Government’s intent in regards to this insulation? There is no requirement to do anything with any insulation against the hull.

Q28. Are the joiner panels inside the Stairtowers to be disturbed/replaced? Refer to amended ITEM 35.

Q29. Please clarify that it is the Government’s intent to have the Contractor remove all electrical conductors for all existing receptacles and lights in the affected spaces removed back to the distribution panels and discarded, not just to the nearest J Box. It is the government’s intent to create a new berthing and toilet shower space that reflects the best in shipbuilding practices. The Contractor must determine how far back the removals need to be made in order to meet the intent. Re-use of worn or damaged wiring shall not be permitted.

Q30. There are numerous junction boxes in the overhead that do not currently meet the spec or the regulations. Do these become the responsibility of the Contractor to replace to meet current regulations? Refer to amended ITEM 32.

Q31. Is the intent of the HVAC removals to remove downstream of the present fire dampers, as it appears in the dwgs? Yes.

Q32. Dwg S11-0-0 BOM PC #3 calls out 2” x ¼” flat bar. Detail (E calls for 2 ½” x ¼”.

Please clarify. Use 2-1/2 x ¼”.

Q33. Reference #14 on Dwg 1247-S48-4-2, Rev B, shows material different than what is in Sheet 4-1. Please clarify. This drawing incorrectly infers that all piping materials are steel. This is incorrect. They should be of the materials specified in ITEM 60.

Q34. Please clarify that the Dwg we should be using for 1247-S39-1-1 is Rev A.

Correct.

Q35. Dwg S48-7-2 Sheet 2 calls out for Sch 40 materials for the black water lines.

Please clarify. This drawing is in error with regard to the schedule required. All black water piping shall be schedule 80. Refer to ITEM 39.

Q40. Please clarify. Are there stamped ABS approved Dwgs for the Sanitary Dwgs? If so, please provide. Yes. 1247-S48-7-3 Rev C is stamped approved. 1247-S48-7-4 Rev B is reviewed but not stamped approved.

Q41. Dwg 1247-S38-3-1 does not clearly depict the final arrangement for the fans no longer being used. What work is the Government going to require the Contractor to perform relative to these fans and discharge ducting? The fans no longer being used shall be removed as well as their associated ducting. The fans and motors shall be provided to the Chief Engineer. The ducting shall be scrapped.

Q42. Please confirm that if there are air conditioned spaces above the berthing spaces, insulation will not be required. Correct.

Q43. Please confirm that fan R2-94-2 which also supplies the berthing area with a branch duct will not have a VFD. The only fans requiring VFDs are stated in the SOW.

Q44. Please confirm that none of the lights in Work Item 91 and 92 will be emergency lights and that all lights in those Work Items will be controlled through the entry switches. Presently, there are E lights installed in some of the affected spaces. The lights shall be as depicted in the referenced drawings. The battle lanterns serve as emergency lights.

Q45. MDO Dwg 1247-S62-2-1, Sheet #3, shows Exit Signs shall be powered from panel L110. Shouldn’t the exit signs be powered by an emergency source? The exit signs shall be powered from an appropriate emergency source recommended by the Contractor and approved by the COR following contract award.

Q46. MDO Dwg 1247-S62-2-1 requires the contractor to remove the lighting conductors, but there is no reference to an emergency circuit. Please clarify. Where is the applicable panelboard(s) as the Contractor must pull all wires back and replace with new. The wiring will have to be traced back to find its source.

1) SOW 33 removal of raised floor. It could not be determined during the ship check if there is abandoned cable under the raised floor area. Is there known cable under this. We believe that all wiring has been removed. If wiring is found, it shall be dealt with under the Supplemental Labor and Materials ITEMs.

2) SOW 36 Joiner panels and bulkheads. There is no mention of what type of soft core joiner panel system is to be used. During the ship check we observed the current joiner panel system is a none progressive panels system using a trim clip to connect the panels together. Is it the intent to use this same type of soft core none progressive system with clips at panel joints. Refer to amended ITEM 36.

3) SOW 36 Joiner panels and bulkheads. The structural fire protection drawing clearly addresses draft stops are required to carry above the panels to the deck head in passageway and divisional bulkheads between berthing compartments.

Since there is no overhead ceiling to close things off, what is the intent to on all other shell bulkheads and lining bulkheads above the joiner panels. Will a flashing be required to close of the lining bulkheads to the underside of the deck head above? Refer to amended ITEM 36.

4) SOW 36 Joiner panels and bulkheads. Joiner arrangement does not show a joiner panel on aft bhd. behind the row of showers in compartment 2-100-1. This joiner bulkheads is required to hang shower partitions on. Refer to amended ITEM 36.

5)SOW 37 Install Interior doors. The SOW calls for 9 new interior doors. The general arrangement shows 13 new B -15 doors and 1 new "A -0" door at the Fan room. Refer to amended ITEM 37.

6) SOW 61 Install Moisture Barriers. There is currently un-faced thermal insulation in the overhead underneath the exposed main deck walkway frames 95-104 Port & stbd. This insulation covers the first three bays inboard of exterior shell or 7-1/2 feet. Is the intent to cover this un-faced insulation with a layer of hard face insulation then paint? Refer to amended ITEM 61.

7) SOW 61 Install moisture barriers. It was discovered during the ship check there are currently areas of the side shell which are not insulated. (a) Is it the intent to insulate the side shell plate prior to installing bulkhead panels ? N o . (b) How much of the side shell will should be insulated, if not all of it. The specification does not call for insulating of the side shell.

General arrangement questions:

8) The pipe chase shown at frame 81 between new crew lockers on the new arrangement is not where the existing pipes are actually located in their existing position on the ship. these pipes are currently in locker 2-75-1. If these pipes are left where they are they would fall inside of passageway 2-77-0. Refer to amended

ITEM 7.

9) The new General arrangement drawing (1247-S33-1-3) Shows a table tops or writing surface around the bulkheads in the Computer/Recreation Room. There is nothing listed in the Bill of Materials for this item. There is no requirement and nothing specified with regard to the installation of table tops in the new computer/recreation lounge.

10) There is no mention of interior storm rails. Are the existing storm rails to be reused or will new rails be required to be furnished and installed by the contractor.

Refer to amended ITEM 37.

11) During the ship check it was noted there are several abandoned cables in the overhead. Will it be the contractors responsibility to remove all existing abandoned cables? Refer to amended ITEM 32.

12) During the ship check it was noted there are several cable penetrations with cables passing through them which are not packed properly. Who is responsible for bringing these cable way penetrations up to Class acceptance? The Contractor.

Refer to amended ITEM 90 and new ITEM 90 AA.

13) Do the drawings supersede the SOW'S or do the SOW'S supersede the drawings? Neither the drawings nor the SOW text supersede one another in that neither replaces the other. The two are provided to supplement one another. If there appears to be conflicting information between the two, a question should be asked prior to making your offer so that a determination or clarification can be made. In this case, our amendments to the SOW, including our answers to your questions, provide the determination or clarification and override the drawing.

14) Is it a requirement that all offeror's provide a "Critical path diagram" along with their proposals. Yes.

1. The sanitary piping on the drawings show S-40 copper nickel 90/10. S-40 is not available, should this be S-10? The piping shall be 90-10 copper nickel, class 200 wall.

2. The potable water on drawings show carbon steel. Should this be copper? Yes.

Refer to amended ITEM 58 and 60.

3. Work scope for black water piping in closet 2-78-1? Refer to amended ITEM 7.

4. Work scope for existing cables in ceiling that have been abandon and not identified?

Refer to amended ITEM 32.

5. Existing cables in the bathroom are painted. Scope asked us not to paint. What do we do with these? All new wiring should not be painted. New wiring with a white insulation should be used where it lays along a white background.

Item 58 Modify hot and cold piping between main Deck and 23 ft-0" FLAT

1. The drawing 1247-S48-4-2 Rev. Bill of materials requires the contractor to provide 88 pes.Yz" diameter ball valves bronze and flanged in accordance with

FllSS-98 (2004) Question: Can these valves be threaded instead of being flanged. No.

2. The 90 degree elbows LR Socket Weld 2" diameter as listed in the bill of materials comes only in short radius. We can also offer alternatively a long radius 90" elbow but it will have to be butt weld.

3. The 88 pes.Tee Socket Weld 2" x 2" x Yz" NPS. We can obtain 2" diameter tees with reducing insert. Will that be acceptable. Yes.

Item 76 Install VFDS

The Specification requires that the Contractor provide two VFD Siemens number VBA325D520X or equal. The Siemens variable Frequency drive is discontinued. The closest we can get is VBA325.F330X which is NEMA 3R instead of NEMA 12 with fused disconnect and 3 contactor bypass instead of two. The VFD is with conventional bypass and standard control logic designed Specifically for HVAC application. The voltage rating 460 VAC and output rating of 25 HP frame size DE. Please advise if acceptable. This will be acceptable if it is Siemen’s advised replacement for what was specified and it meets all form, fit and function requirements with regard to what was specified in addition to being satisfactory to the

USCG/ABS.

September 2, 2013 through December 2, 2013. Work days and hours shall be 7 days a week from 0700 through 1700 hrs.

BACKGROUND: The T/S STATE OF MAINE is a U.S. Government owned training ship provided to the Maine Maritime Academy for the purpose of training young men and women for a career in the U.S. Maritime Industry. The T/S STATE OF MAINE was originally built as the USNS TANNER (T-AGS-40) at the Bethlehem Steel Shipyard in

Sparrow’s Point, Maryland in 1990. The TANNER served as a fast oceanographic research ship for the U.S. Navy. Ownership was later transferred to the Maritime

Administration which converted the ship to a Public Nautical Schoolship at the

Colonna’s Shipyard in 1997 and renamed the ship, T/S STATE OF MAINE. That conversion involved replacing the existing two Enterprise diesel propulsion engines with one MAK 6M601 diesel and one electric propulsion motor. This conversion also involved replacement of the existing fixed pitch propeller with a controllable pitch propeller to include modifications to the propulsion shafting. In addition, numerous compartments were created or converted into classrooms and berthing for cadets as well as providing for the expanded hotel services required.

The ship is part of the National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) and maintains a U.S.

Coast Guard Certificate of Inspection (COI) and American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)

Classification with the following designations and notations:

USCG Service / ABS Description: Public Nautical Schoolship.

SOLAS Category: Cargo Ship.

MARPOL Category: Not an Oil Tanker.

ABS Class Notations:

The ship is enrolled in a Continuous Hull and Continuous Machinery Survey with ABS.

As a Public Nautical School Ship and Cargo Ship (non-tanker), the regulations of 46

CFR 167, in addition to ABS Rules and SOLAS Regulations for a Cargo Ship (non-tanker), govern all work performed aboard.

In this regard, the Contractor shall ensure that all work performed in the execution of this SOW be in conformance with the requirements of 46 CFR 167, ABS Rules and

SOLAS Regulations and shall not knowingly perform any action which may compromise the ship’s Certificate of Inspection (COI) and/or ABS Classification. If the Contractor is aware of anything stated in this SOW or missing from this SOW, that might compromise that compliance, it is requested that they make it known immediately, and in writing, to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR).

In some instances, the requirements of this SOW may exceed the requirements of the

CFRs, ABS Rules and IMO/SOLAS. If there appears to be differences between the requirements of this SOW, the CFRs, ABS Rules and SOLAS Regulations, the more stringent requirement shall apply.

The Government shall provide for a comprehensive ship check as part of the solicitation for this work. The prospective Contractors shall use the ship check to thoroughly examine all areas of the 2nd deck between frames 75 and 104 in order to determine the full extent of work necessary (beyond what may or may not be described in the ITEMS below) in order to satisfy the INTENT of this SOW.

For this reason, only Contractors with a demonstrated competency and understanding of the requirements of the USCG (NVIC 9-97, and 46 CFR 72), ABS Rules and IMO/SOLAS Regulations should submit pricing.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: The following general requirements apply to all work performed in the execution of this SOW:

1. General: The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and services (except where noted under “GOVERNMENT FURNISHED”) to accomplish this SOW in accordance with all applicable ABS Rules, USCG and IMO/SOLAS Regulations.

Energy Control Plan (Lock Out/Tag Out): Any work which involves stored energy (such as electrical work, fluids under pressure, etc.), shall first be isolated and locked out/tagged out in accordance with the T/S STATE OF MAINE’s lock out/tag out procedures. The Contractor must receive written permission prior to energizing or de-energizing any electrical circuits. This permission shall be accomplished by way of an entry in the ship’s lock out/tag out record book by one of the engineering officers. Requests for lock out/tag out shall be made not less than 1 hour before requiring them. The Contractor shall provide their own locks and tags.

16.11. Working Aloft: All persons working aloft shall do so in accordance with the ship’s working aloft procedures. Permission to go aloft shall be obtained from the

Chief Mate by way of a signed working aloft permit. The Contractor shall provide their own safety harnesses.

16.12. Smoking: Smoking is not permitted aboard the ship. An area on the dock is set aside for smoking.

16.13. TWIC: All persons working aboard the ship shall be in possession of a

Transportation Worker’s Identification Card (TWIC). All persons with a TWIC shall be provided a temporary access card which shall be scanned by the cadet watch at each boarding and disembarking of the ship. Quick trips to the pier for tools or the like shall not require scanning in/out providing the cadet watch is informed and the Contractor’s employee or subcontractor remains within sight of the watch. A list of all Contractor’s employees and subcontractors involved in the execution of this SOW shall be provided to the Chief Mate prior to the start of work.

17. Loading/unloading of Tools and Materials: Contractors shall be permitted to load/unload personnel, tools and materials at the Academy pier alongside the ship.

The ship’s crew shall make every effort to operate the ship’s cranes when needed for items such as “gang” boxes and heavy materials (up to 2,000 lbs.). Request for this service shall be made to the Chief Mate at least 4 hours prior to needing the crane. Availability of the ship’s cranes is not guaranteed. Loading/unloading of tools and materials through the main hatch on the 01 deck (between the forward and aft houses) requires removal of its large hatch cover. In order to avoid frequent removal/re-installation of this cover and to permit the hand lowering of tools and materials, etc., the Contractor shall construct and install a temporary structure (such as wooden frames and tarpaulin) to permit quick and easy access through the hatch during loading/unloading operations. This temporary structure must not permit rain water to enter or permit the free exchange of outside air with the ship’s HVAC systems except when actual loading/unloading is taking place. The ship has access to a forklift and forklift operator. Request for this service shall be made to the Chief

Mate at least 4 hours prior to needing the forklift. Availability of the forklift is not guaranteed.

18. Parking: Vehicle parking is permitted at the Castine town parking lot upon approval from the Town Selectman. This approval shall be requested by submitting to the

COR a list of all Contractor and subcontractor vehicle models, license plate numbers, and driver’s license numbers prior to the start of the contract. The town parking lot is approximately 1,000 ft from the ship. Overnight parking at the town lot is not permitted. If a Contractor desires to leave a work trailer on the pier or

Academy grounds, it shall be in a location agreed to by the Chief Mate and the

Maine Maritime Academy Police Department. Work trailers and other vehicles must never obstruct emergency (fire and ambulance) vehicle access to the ship.

19. Toilets: The Contractor shall provide portable toilet facilities for their employees and subcontractors. The Chief Mate shall designate a space on the dock for them to be placed. The Contractor shall maintain them clean and shall empty them as required.

20. Availability of Drawings and Technical Manuals: The COR shall assist, in as much as possible, by providing access to any requested drawings or manuals.

These drawings and manuals shall not leave the ship but may be copied on board with the written approval of the Chief Engineer. Most all of the ship’s drawings have been electronically copied to a pdf format. CD copies of available drawings shall be provided to the Contractor upon request.

21. Hazmat Handling and Documentation: The Contractor must recognize that ships may contain hazardous materials which require special handling. These materials may include, but are not limited to; asbestos (used in heat and electrical insulation, brake linings, deck coverings, boiler refractory, joiner work and other areas), mercury, oils, bilge water and slops containing fuel, grease and lubricating oils, lead, lead-based anti-foulants, etc. This SOW attempts to make the Contractor aware of any known HAZMAT materials and substances that may be encountered in the execution of this SOW, however, the responsibility for identifying, handling and disposing of these materials shall be the Contractors. Removal and disposal of all hazardous material waste shall be in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local rules and regulations. The Contractor shall submit documented evidence of that compliance within five working days after the end of the contract. These documents shall include the types and quantities of hazardous waste generated, the procedures followed for custody and disposal, and copies of receipts for same.

Additional charges required for handling and disposing of hazardous materials after contract award shall not be permitted.

22. Credit For Scrap: Unless stated otherwise in this SOW, all scrap material generated as a result of this SOW shall be removed from the ship, become the property of the

Contractor, and be disposed of in accordance with all Federal, State and local requirements. A credit to the Maritime Administration for the value of any scrap material removed shall be included in the Contractor’s pricing for each “ITEM” in this

SOW which generates any scrap material and/or salvaged equipment.

22.1. Clean scrap (such as steel) may be temporarily placed on the pier (if space permits) in an organized fashion and for short periods prior to its disposal providing it does not become unsightly or interfere with other operations at the

Academy as determined by the COR.

23. Trash Removal and Clean-up: The Contractor shall perform a daily sweep down of the areas worked on and shall remove all trash generated on a daily basis. The

Contractor shall maintain their own dumpster (with a cover) on the pier and arrange for its frequent emptying to ensure that it never overflows. Placement of trash or other non-recyclable materials outside of or around the dumpster shall not be tolerated.

24. Checkpoint: The presence of the word, “Checkpoint”, throughout this SOW, requires the Contractor to contact the COR (or his designated representative in his absence) to witness the condition of a WORK ITEM prior to proceeding with any further work in that ITEM. This notification shall be made at least one hour prior to when the COR’s attendance is needed. The ship shall provide the Contractor with one UHF radio and charger for the purpose of contacting the COR (or his designated representative). The radio and charger shall be signed for by the Contractor and returned at the end of the contract period.

25. Equipment Information: The Contractor shall provide the COR with an electronic copy (in pdf format) of all drawings, operating manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, cut sheets etc., for any equipment that the Contractor provides as part of this SOW. In addition, any drawings required as a deliverable in this SOW shall also be provided in AutoCad format.

26. Accuracy of Information: Dimensions and measurements in this SOW (or referenced in this SOW) are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. The

Contractor shall verify the accuracy of dimensions, measurements, sizes, etc., provided in any sketches, drawings, plans and specifications, within this SOW prior to quoting, fabricating, ordering, etc., anything required in this SOW. Any drawings provided, whether they are considered “as builts” or not, should not be scaled in an attempt to determine the actual location of existing piping/wiring runs, etc. in hidden areas such as bulkheads and/or joinery. The Contractor shall be aware that numerous drawings and manuals represent the ship’s configuration prior to the conversion in 1997 and as such, may no longer accurately represent the ship’s current configuration. For this reason, it is important to determine whether a drawing or manual being reviewed represents the pre or post conversion configuration. In some instances, it may be necessary to combine information from both pre and post conversion drawings to determine the current configuration of a system or compartment. Material Lists provided in a drawing may not accurately reflect the full extent of materials required. The Contractor shall be responsible for determining the actual quantities/types of materials required.

27. Daily Meeting: Prior to the start of each work day, the Contractor shall meet with the

COR and ship’s crew for the purpose of informing them of the Contractor’s plans

(location of hot work, lock out/tag out requirements, need for crane, etc.) for that day.

This meeting should not take longer than 10 minutes.
