About this file
This document is Addendum #3 for a contract opportunity issued by Colorado Northwestern Community College (CNCC) in Rangely, Colorado, for the Hefley Gym Floor Demolition and Abatement project. The project involves removing the existing gym floor, abating vermiculite material, and decontaminating the concrete slab, with all work to be completed by May 31st, 2024. Qualifications are due on April 24th by 10:00 AM, and a mandatory site meeting has been conducted. The project requires professional services for industrial hygienists to perform the demolition and abatement, with specific requirements including containment, negative air movement through HEPA filtration, and proper waste disposal according to Colorado state regulations.
The contract opportunity is limited to professional services as defined by Colorado Revised Statutes, with selection based on past experience with similar projects. CNCC will utilize Grande River Environmental for oversight and testing. The contractor will have flexibility in work hours, with access to the site including weekends, and will be responsible for their own disposal methods and equipment. The college will coordinate removing bleachers before demolition and will work with the selected contractor on electrical and logistical requirements. No on-campus housing will be provided, but local hotels are available. The project involves removing wood floors, joists, and associated materials, leaving an open, clean slab for future reconstruction.
