About this file
This document is Amendment No. 1 to AHCA Contract No. EXD100, an agreement between the State of Florida, Agency for Health Care Administration (the "Agency") and Shutts & Bowen, LLP (the "Vendor"). The amendment was executed in April 2020 and signed by all parties on May 1, 2023, involving key representatives including Joseph Goldstein (Partner), Jason Weida (Secretary), and Andrew Sheeran (General Counsel).
The amendment extends the contract term, modifying the original contract's duration to begin on July 1, 2022, and end on June 30, 2024, inclusive. This represents the first renewal option for a twelve-month period, in accordance with Section 287.058 of Florida Statutes. The amendment allows for a contract renewal that does not exceed three (3) years or the original contract term, whichever is longer. All other provisions of the original contract remain in effect and are to be performed at the previously specified level, with this amendment becoming a formal part of the original contract upon execution.
