i. One Pavement Design for the 3R of the existing roadway.

ii. Adjust manhole tops and valves due to milling and resurfacing operations.

iii. Evaluate an alternate design that can be implemented to accommodate the transition of cyclists to provide a safe access point across Royal Palm Way at S Lake Dr.

iv. Design Variations that include 5 years crash data analysis:

1. There are multiple lateral offset violations along the corridor mostly due to royal palm trees planted behind curbs close to the roadway that will need to be documented in a design variation.

2. Sight Triangle

3. Absence of Bike Lane

4. Lane width for sharrow markings with lane width less than 12’ (Outside lane width 11’).

5. Cross Slope

c. ADA Scope Items:

i. Upgrade existing pedestrian curb ramps and add detectible warning surface at S Lake Dr, S. Lake Trail, Four Arts Plaza, Cocoanut Row, Hibiscus Ave and S County Rd intersections.

b. Three (3) utility contacts – Initial contact, 2nd Contact, Final Contact

c. Prepare Utility Certification Package

3. Environmental Permits and Environmental Clearances (Activity 8)

a. A SFWMD permit is not anticipated for this project however, proper determination to be made during design.

b. Coordinate with FDOT and submit a permit determination letter to the Environmental Permits Office, for review and concurrence during the design process.

c. Contamination impact analysis is to be performed by the Department.
