About this file

This document is a Task Work Order Amendment for a Master Agreement between the Florida Department of Transportation Research Center and Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The amendment relates to Contract #BDS15 and Task Work Order (TWO) #977-01, specifically Amendment #3. The document involves extending the project timeline and was executed by representatives from both the Florida Department of Transportation and Rutgers University.

The project's original scope was to evaluate the contribution of mixture components on the longevity and performance of FC-5, with an initial start date of 5/17/11 and original end date of 3/31/14. Due to severe winter conditions causing university shutdowns and power outages, Rutgers requested and received a time extension to 5/31/14. The amendment notes that a preliminary report was submitted to the FDOT Technical Working Group covering work completed through January 2014, and no budget modifications were required for this time extension. The project was to be completed with laboratory testing and a final report to be submitted by April 30th, allowing FDOT time for review and potential edits.

Master University Agreement Task Work Order Amendment Request

Contract-Two#997-e+ q I L-O Amendment #3

Title: Evaluate the Contribution of the Mixture Components on the Longevity and Performance of FC-5

Start Date:5/17/11 End Date: 3/3L/L4 Project Manager: Tanya Nash Principal lnvestigator: Tom Bennert

AdditionalTime

Request for additional time for completion of services lo 5l3LlL4.

The project had been extended to be completed on 3/31/14. However, due to the horrible winter conditions in January and

February that resulted in numerous state of emergencies, university shutdowns, and power outages, another time extension is requested to ensure the workplan and final report can be completed and submitted in full. A preliminary report has been submitted to the FDOT Technical Working Group that encompasses everything completed up to January 2014 in an effort to quicken the review process. However, the winter conditions has resulted in significant time delays due to lab closings and sets of prepared samples being ruined due to power outages (i.e. - a number of sets of specimens were long-term oven conditioning when extensive power outages occurred).

Based on conversations and emails with the Project Manager (Tanya Nash), Rutgers University is requesting a time extension to May

3!'t,20!4. This will allow Rutgers University to complete the laboratory testing and provide a final report to FDOT by April 30th and also allow FDOT time for a final report review and any possible edits Rutgers University would be required to complete.

No budget modification is required in conjunction with the time extension.
