About this file
Amendment No. 3 to Contract No. PL276 is executed between the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (Department) and Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc., located at 3532 Maggie Boulevard, Orlando, Florida 32811. This amendment modifies the existing contract for environmental site assessments, which was originally effective June 9, 2013.
The amendment extends the contract for a six-month period beginning June 9, 2023, and terminating December 8, 2023. The Department and Contractor shall continue performing their respective duties under the same terms and conditions as established in the original contract. Key modifications include updated employee eligibility verification requirements mandating the Contractor's use of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's E-Verify system for all employees and subcontractors, with subcontractors required to provide affidavits confirming non-employment of unauthorized aliens. Additionally, the amendment adds a disqualification provision requiring the Contractor to certify that it and its subcontractors are not on the Scrutinized Companies that Boycott Israel List, with authorization for the Department to immediately terminate the contract if false certification is discovered or if the Contractor or subcontractors are subsequently placed on such list or engage in boycott activities during the contract term. All other terms and conditions of the original contract remain in effect.
