About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for elevator maintenance and inspection services at the Porterville Air Attack Base (PAAB) in Porterville, California, operated by the US Department of Agriculture's Sequoia National Forest.
The contractor must provide monthly inspection and preventative maintenance of a hydraulic ThyssenKrupp Elevator with two landings in accordance with ASME A17.1-2022 standards. Monthly tasks include examining the elevator's control and positioning systems, signal fixtures, machines, motors, governors, sheaves, wire ropes, power units, pumps, valves, jacks, door operating devices, loadweighers, car frames, platforms, counterweights, and safety mechanisms, with replacement and repair of worn parts as needed. Additionally, the contractor must perform a load test once every five years and maintain 24-hour emergency service availability for elevator failures, with pricing invoiced at preferred service straight-time or overtime rates. The contractor must submit completed ASME A17.1-2022 checklists and load test results to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) within five business days of each inspection and provide monthly written reports by the 10th of each month detailing work completed, planned work, and any unresolved issues. The contractor is responsible for providing certifications and qualifications to work on elevator systems, transportation to the site during normal business hours (Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding federal holidays), and all necessary equipment and materials. The Government will provide building access and technical drawings but no supplies or materials. Performance standards require full completion of all tasks as outlined, with failure to meet requirements potentially resulting in contract termination.
