Attachment 2.1.3.11 – Method of Approach

The Offeror shall provide a narrative response to each section that demonstrates their understanding of the Scope of Work requirements and describes the company’s overall method of approach for providing the Service(s) stated in this Solicitation. If there is a section that is not applicable to the Services required by the Scope of Work, you may mark it “N/A”.

Offeror shall provide a response either after each section or in a separate document entitled: “Attachment - Method of Approach.” If a separate document is used, please clearly designate each section and double-check to ensure that each question has been answered. If any information provided is considered CONFIDENTIAL by Offeror, the information must be specifically included in the Confidential Information Designation Attachment and related documentation to be assessed for confidential treatment under A.A.C. R2-7-103.

1.0 Do you have capabilities for E-Procurement Catalog Solutions (punchout)?

1.1 If yes, please explain your on boarding process

1.2 If yes, have you worked with iValua as a hosting system

Offeror Response:

1.1 MSC provides Punchout Catalogs for many customers.

When an eProcurement integration request is placed, MSC will schedule a discovery call with both the customer business owner and a technical contact. During the discovery call, we will discuss all the customer needs, including the project scope and desired timelines.

After a project plan has been drafted, we can typically schedule the project within two weeks from assignment of a dedicated MSC IT resource. The average timeline for completion is about six to ten weeks, depending on the requirements and level of complexity. Total time will vary depending on customer specifications.

We have attached our MSC eProcurement Onboarding Process for additional detail.

1.2 MSC has frequently collaborated successfully with iValua for both Punchout Catalogs and EDI integrations.

In addition to iValua, we partner with many of the largest eProcurement providers, including SAP Ariba, Coupa, Proactis, Jaggaer, Oracle, and more. We also support EDI (810, 850, 855, 856 and 997 documents) and XML (cXML, xcbl3) transmissions.

2.0 Please provide two contacts that will have knowledge of the contract for State Agencies and Co-Op Members to ask questions.

Offeror Response:

Brandon Buell would be assigned as the dedicated Account Manager, Public Sector. Mr. Buell would be responsible for the overall contract management and performance. He may contacted at:

Phone: (623-203-8509 Email: Brandon.Buell@mscdirect.com

MSC’s Public Sector Customer Care Team will have access to all of the State and its Eligible Agencies program information, including pricing and discounts. Our live associates can receive orders and quote requests, provide digital support, source items, provide real-time inventory status, recommend product alternatives, provide advanced technical support and much more.

They are available Monday through Friday, 7am-11pm, ET, and Saturdays, 8am-5pm, ET and can be reached at 800-672-4468 or via email at govteam@mscdirect.com.

3.0 If you have a brick and mortar store front, how will you ensure your employee(s) will be trained to provide the appropriate discounts if paying with a state issued P-Card? If you do not have a brick and mortar store front please answer N/A

Offeror Response:

Due to our extensive network of field sales associates and specialists; same day shipping; inventory management solutions (Vending, VMI, etc.), and the speed at which we pick, pack and ship orders, we have minimized the need for retail locations and will-call orders.

All State-specific program information, including pricing and discounts, are stored in our integrated information systems so that it will be available regardless the method of order.

4.0 Explain how you will handle the customer service situation below:

An eligible agency place an order for special order doors, they request a will call pickup for the order. When the employee shows up to the store, the doors are no longer in their shipping container. How would you go about helping this employee?

Offeror Response:

As noted above, MSC does not have retail locations. Whether an item is shipping from our Customer Fulfillment Centers or directly from a manufacturer, it will arrive in its original packaging.

Orders would be delivered by one of our third-party shipping partners (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL carriers, etc.) directly to the Eligible Agency.

5.0 How would you ensure delivery to remote regions of the State of Arizona?

Offeror Response:

MSC services all of North America, including all areas of Arizona. A majority of orders are shipped via UPS Ground. However, we utilize a network of carriers, including FedEx, USPS and other LTL carriers. Lead times on stock items are one to two days for UPS shipments and three to four days for LTL / Truck Shipments. Non-catalog / sourced item lead times are quoted upon request.
