About this file

This is a Scope of Work document for Eastern Kentucky University's procurement of baseball equipment for its varsity baseball program. EKU is soliciting proposals to establish a contract for baseball bats, fielding gloves, catcher's equipment, and batting helmets. The University intends to award one primary vendor but reserves the right to award the contract in part or in whole to multiple vendors if deemed in the University's best interest. The contract shall designate a single supplier for bats, protective gear, catcher's gear, and fielding gloves while serving the varsity baseball team, certain support personnel, and related programs. The supplier must provide a dedicated regional contact available year-round for technical support and conduct regular scheduled visits to campus to service the team's needs in a timely and professional manner.

The supplier must furnish all required equipment meeting EKU's specifications for durability, color range, and standards for numbers and logos, with all products delivered at no shipping cost to the University. EKU reserves the right to outsource any products deemed insufficient during the contract term and may purchase equipment from alternative sources as needed. Beyond product provision, the selected vendor must assist EKU's baseball program in retail product and brand activation within the marketplace, community, and university partnerships. The contract explicitly requires the vendor to offer incentives to the University, which may include merchandise credit, signing bonuses, sponsorships, scholarships, or other comparable benefits. No specific pricing terms, contract duration, response deadlines, or award dates are detailed in this scope document.
