About this file
This is a procurement proposal document for CMHC (Community/County Mental Health Center or similar facility) project B-51749 regarding replacement of a kitchen dishwasher hot water supply system. The document outlines the scope of work for a facility seeking to replace aging equipment that has been in service since 2003, including a hydronic copper boiler manufactured by A.O. Smith Water Products Company (Model GB-300), a 50-gallon storage tank, and associated piping and circulation components that support a Hobart CRS 86A commercial dishwasher.
The project requires replacement of all components including the hydronic boiler, hot water storage tank (if necessary), copper piping, two circulating pumps, six ball valves, two relief valves, check valves, and four thermometers with thermal wells. The new system must deliver water temperatures of 180-195°F for proper dish sanitation, with specific minimums of 150°F for wash cycles, 160°F for rinse cycles, and 180°F for final rinse cycles. The contractor shall provide all materials, perform installation and connections in accordance with manufacturer specifications, properly insulate all piping, dispose of existing equipment, and conduct operational testing. The project requires a mandatory onsite pre-bid meeting and must be coordinated with facility operations to minimize downtime. Building supply flow pressure must be maintained at 20 PSI (±5 PSI), and system pressure relief valves shall not exceed 125 psi.
