About this file
Attachment K is a Certification of Drug Free Workplace form from the Florida Department of Management Services for the Management Consulting Services RFP (No. 25-80101500-RFP-V2). The document outlines six key requirements for establishing a drug-free workplace program, including publishing statements prohibiting controlled substance use, informing employees about drug abuse dangers, providing workplace policy statements to employees, notifying employers of drug-related convictions, imposing sanctions on convicted employees, and making good faith efforts to maintain a drug-free workplace. This certification is part of the proposal submission process and may provide a preference in award decisions when proposals are otherwise equal in price, quality, and service.
The form serves as a mandatory certification for respondents to the state term contract, with false statements being punishable under law. It is specifically designed to give preference to vendors who demonstrate a comprehensive approach to maintaining a drug-free work environment. The certification aligns with Section 287.087, F.S., and provides a mechanism for the Department to evaluate potential contractors beyond traditional proposal criteria, emphasizing workplace safety and employee wellness as part of the state's procurement process.
