Document Summary

This is a Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order template issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). The document serves as a task order mechanism for engaging qualified vendors under an existing Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract to perform specific field work at designated natural area sites throughout Indiana.

The work order covers hand work services at sensitive sites and establishes the operational framework for project execution. Vendors must accept or decline the work order within seven days of receipt; declining vendors are replaced by the next lowest bidder in sequence. Compensation is calculated by multiplying the vendor's hourly rate for the specific work item and work zone by the number of authorized hours, with the total project cost subject to IDNR approval. Work must strictly comply with Section 1 (Description of Supplies and Services) of the signed Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract, and all onsite staff must meet experience requirements specified in the contract. Detailed work specifications—including herbicide types and rates, application methods, mortality requirements, resulting stump heights, treatment timing, target vegetation species, and species to avoid—must be documented on the work order. If no vendors accept the work order, IDNR reserves the right to rebid the project to other vendors outside the contract.
