Statewide Natural Areas Management Work Order Summary

This document is a work order form issued by the Indiana Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) under the Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract. The work order serves as an agreement between IDNR and contracted vendors to perform specific natural resource management tasks at designated sites within Indiana. Vendors selected through the statewide contract bidding process receive work orders for individual projects and must accept or decline within seven days of receipt.

The work order documents hand work performed at sensitive natural areas sites, with compensation based on vendor hourly rates established in the underlying statewide contract. Project costs are calculated by multiplying the vendor's hourly rate for the specified work zone by the number of hours allocated for the work order. All work must comply with the detailed specifications outlined in Section 1 of the signed Statewide Natural Areas Management Contract, and vendor onsite staff must meet experience requirements specified in the contract. Work descriptions must include specific details such as herbicide type and application rates, application methods, required mortality rates, stump heights, treatment timing, target vegetation species, and species to be protected. If a vendor declines a work order, IDNR offers it to the next lowest bidder under the contract; if no vendors accept the work order, IDNR reserves the right to solicit bids from other vendors outside the contract framework.
